I stayed in Rose Villa for almost a week during diwali 2010 and had an excellent time there.

The hotel is very new, spotless and well situated: The top terrace has an amazing view on the fort. Concerning the price, it was an honest middle-price range, totally worth it -

On the minus side,[at the time] the hotel did't have a cook/kitchen so dishes are cooked outside and bring back [except breakfast], so could take some time before to be served. That's being known, you just need to order in advance.

But the main point in this hotel is definitely their owners: Ugwala & Joshi. A very young and dynamic couple that really make you feel home. Very accessible and very friendly. Full of resources on what to see, what to do and the most appreciated: they really don't try to sell you any camel tours at all ...
As I said I was there during diwali and they really make me feel like home, explaining me many things on that special festival and even invited me to join their pudja on diwali's eve.

Moreover, Here are two examples showing the extend of their kindness:

1- I ran out of money on the day of diwaly (bad bad idea) and joshi nicely proposed me to ride me to an ATM (cause he knew it was going to find one open). We toured for free in the city for almost 45 min before finding one open with still some cash in it =

2- After I left Jaisalmer, I went to Jodhpur in a guest house that Ugwala recommended me. Once I arrived there, the receptionist told me that Hotel Rosa Villa had called and that I had forgotten my portable HDD ... which contained all the pictures I had took so far .... Hotel Rosa Villa and the hotel in Jodhpur arranged the HDD to be delivered by a bus driver/rickshaw and arrived safely the next day at Jodhpur's hotel ... I am so thankful to them for this..

So to resume : Nice relaxing hotel with amazing trustful owners.
One of my best stay in a 5 months trip in India.

We traveled to Jaisalmer for our first time with our 4 person. I was looking for a Home Stay and we got Hotel Rose Villa Very Homly. This was our first time staying in a Home Stay and it exceeded our expectations. Joshi was great at recommending places to visit and arranged our taxi driver/guide for our stay. Breakfast was wonderful. They arrange Taxi whenever you need to visit outside. The rooms were nice and roomy, the beds were comfortable. Fr… See all

We loved this hotel and would highly recommend it for it's authenticity and the relaxing and welcoming environment. The staff were very helpful and attentive to all our needs and requests and we particularly liked the little touches, for example hot water and teas being placed in our rooms when we were out in the evenings. We would definitely return to this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Rose Villa. The couple who runs the place couldn't have been friendlier, giving us directions around town and recommending various tours. They've designed the whole place themselves and all the rooms are very cute - beautifully hand-painted and each with its own style.

I booked this hotel through clear trip after reading the review and ratings from Trip advisor, but was disappointed. The hotel don't even have a Restaurant.
If you want food they order it from nearby place. There are lot of options near the fort itself and also inside the fort also.
Though It is located near the fort, but still there are other options as well.
