We went to 8 July cuz of the trendy name and the huge board making U believe the place has loads to offer but the place is a huge disappointment. We ordered pizza and it was a total let down with too much tomato sauce and almost uncooked base with some weird kindda toppings. The only saving grace was the coffee which was genuinely very nice. Plus with the view of the Fort around the place is okay to spend a cuppa coffee over! Overpriced yes!

A wonderful shady spot for people-watching overlooking the busy happenings of the main square when entering the Jaisalmer Fort. Everything seems to be happening here!
Being an Australian-Indian husband/wife team sets this place apart to the rest and reflects in the menu - if you are homesick for vegemite and need a break... you will get it here. Perfect and friendly service, excellent food and appropriate prices. Filter coffee and apple pie with ice cream was just what I needed that day.. :)

We went for lunch to 8th of July. First we took some apple pie. It was not good, unfortunately. So we moved to another place. Nothing to come back for. Also this place really needs some updating. Everything is just old and not paid attention to.

me and my husband were empty stomach n craving for breakfast..there was no electricity which is understandable..so we coudnt order a smoothie..i ordered a lassi and an omelette with toast. After drinking half the glass, i found a small cockroach in the drink and when i complained about it the lady didnt even hv the courtesy to ask me if i wud like another one..after that i got more careful n even pointed a small ant in the omelette. Even after all this, the lady had the audacity to charge us the full amount without any embarassment. The man with her did nothing but kept ranting about India and dishonest indians..i wonder if he realised

We ate here for breakfast one morning, and should not have.
We ordered a supposedly "Swiss Muesli" and a "fruit salad."

What came out was a tiny bowl of basic muesli, a bit of floury fermented curd, and what we can only assume was once tinned pineapple.

The "fruit salad" was a TINY plate with a bit of sliced banana, a bit of apple and more poisonous smelling one-upon-a-time-pineapple.

We paid a ridiculously overpriced amount for both, and left hungry, fearful for our health, and very disappointed.

Spend your rupees elsewhere.
