Surya Garh looks likes a fort in desert as do many others in the area. Our large room included a large sitting area as well as a large, bedroom and bathroom and overlooked the expanse of the Thar desert. Rooms were clean and well lit and a fast wifi was included free of charge

The meals good and we had the best Thali of our trip at their Radjistani restaurant. There was a culture show every evening and like so many hotels outside of the big cities, the staff has some challenges with English

The town was wonderful for both sightseeing and shopping and we did a sunset camel safari and dinner on the desert dunes. Not to be missed

Room Tip: We flew into Jodhpur from Delhi, and then had a almost 5 hour drive over typically chaotic Indian ro...

This is a beautiful fort property. The management brings in a lot of small things that heighten the experience like a lady singing folk songs in the morning (not affecting ur sleep!), cultural dance in evening, Alex a great dog and the pretty pigeons. The property is very lavish, meals in the open with sigadi were very relaxing. Rooms are big spacious and very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty but they do need to increase the menu. Overall a very delightful experience. Highly recommended and would definitely visit again.

We stayed here in August for 3 nights...it was our best experience in India, by far. In fact, the Suryagarh sticks out in our minds as being one of the best hotel experiences in our around-the-world travels. What a beautiful hotel and such a warm welcome from everyone at the hotel.

The GM, manager and staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and ensure that our needs were met. Exceptional customer service. Our experience set the bar high for the rest of our travels.

We took a private cooking class (we learned a lot) with the Chef -- as well as a few other gems that the hotel staff kindly arranged... (this might sound cheesy, but at times, we felt like we were on a fantasy date on the bachelor tv show! it was that amazing)

The suite/rooms were well appointed. Spa massage was exceptional. Pool was fun. Meals were amazing. All in all, we were exceptionally pleased with our experience. It was a bad oversight on our part that we didn't leave a Trip Advisor review earlier (sorry! we thought we had...) though, we have been bragging about our experience as we've been traveling around the world. Thanks again for one of the most memorable parts of our around the world trip! It was simply unforgettable.

Jaisalmer is beautiful and has it's own charm and the Suryagarh palace adds to it's beauty . Located 15km outside the city on the way to Sam , in the middle of nowhere(u have to depend on a taxi from the city for everything approx Rs. 1500.00 per day to and fro) this hotel is grand , luxurious , with stunning interiors and exterior . Met Mr. Manvendra Singh Shekhawat , the owner of Suryagarh , nice man , has an eye for detail and has developed the property very tastefully . The food is good , the rooms are huge and clean , service is excellent , though the staff lacks a little coordination and when u come back after a tiring day spent on city tours , site seeing , it feels like u r entering into heaven .
Though the property is new and is being further developed I suggest some improvements to the people of suryagarh like - more sports activities , kids play area , some swings for kids as they don't have much to do. I'm sure it is already being planned . I definately want to stay there whenever I visit Jaisalmer .

In past 5 months we have traveled to Jaisalmer twice for business, First time Suryagarh just happened, but the second time it was more going to Suryagarh than Jaisalmer. This suffices what a fantastic experience we have had during our stay at Suryagarh. For someone who has been to Jaisalmer 5-6 times already there isn't much left from the tourist attractions to see, but with Suryagarh we explored a totally different side of Jaisalmer. The efforts that are put in to ensure guest remember the hotel for an experience work well. Starting from the very famous "Chudail Trail" to dinner at private Dunes or a special setting around the hotel or practicing archery, its been a lot of fun. The rooms are done up in a very tasteful fashion where you can actually see so much attention being paid to details whether its the cute do not disturb sign or the carefully chosen artefacts. Oh! and what will I do for getting the same invisible housekeeping at home! Without making a big deal about it the rooms are just clean, clothes nicely folded and stacked, towels changed and so on..wow! The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home, most of them being non localities but then a property like this needs more Glocal than just local expertise. The exterior of the building is magnificent and would definitely be an aspiration to stay there for people passing by it. Overall Suryagrah is a reason in itself to visit Jaisalmer over and over again.

Room Tip: We personally liked the room which had the Hill view.

Booked for 3 nights arrived on Christmas Eve and WOW it was a great 3 night 4 days experience!!
Starts with a very pleasant faced pandit ji welcoming you with flowers etc at the entrance.
The management is very much hands on hence absolutely spot on !! They believe in pampering their guests and they do it very well the General Manager Karan Singh would do what he expected his staff to do which is such a refreshing attitude ESP in India ! The entire team are holding fort extremely well ....Front Office Manager Harkaran ....guest relation manager Nakul and Manoj were absolutely lovely and very caring about our smallest of needs. Not forgetting Sridhar the head chef who catered for our every request ( we love our food) and his dahi Ke kebabs were to die for ! Harkaran suggested we do the sunset camel safari followed by a lavish dinner on the hotels privately owned sand dunes !!!! How wonderful is that .... Believe me one can only understand it when experienced ..With magical music and excellent service both by the staff and the chef the entire evening was something out of a fairy tale .... It was also our anniversary ! Every one we mentioned to that we were going for 4 days thought we were mad .....but I wish we could have stayed on another few days as we felt so special and cared for.Someone commented that it was expensive ....I say you get what you pay for !!! All the best guys we have spread the gospel about Suryagarh .....hopefully we'll come back and the same team is still there.... As they truly are the best !
Yes the hotel is very tastefully made and a wonderful property out of the city which is great . As one can really enjoy the peace and beauty of it after coming back from the hustle and bustle of the city tour etc. I think enough people have described the property and I wanted to tell about the staff & service as much. Definitely go there !
