Hi

As mentioned by other in the reviews above I would concur and want to add some more points to it.

1.This camp is located 30 km Jaislmer and 5 km from sand dunes. There are other camps just opposite to sand dunes which can be selected.
2.Food : Food is pathetic with very limited choice, it is not hot so you won't enjoy the same. Also only veg. food is served.
3.Room Facilities : Blankets are not sufficient in nights so pls carry some extract stuff for yourself.
4.Hot water is only on request and rare to get.
5.Tents are old and torn at places which makes it uneasy at nights to sleep
6.Open garbage and sanitary waste behind the tents is unhygienic.
7.Camel ride organized by Camp is not worth it and only for very small distance through road, as soon as you reach sand dunes they will drop-off so you may not enjoy camel safari on dunes.
8.Only Traditional dance show is good, everything else is waste of money.

Room Tip: No tent are comfortable to stay.

Here are few pros and cons for this camp!

Cons
1) The map which they have given on brochures is for cheating purpose. They have shown a map which is close to "Sam" sand dunes. However , the sand dunes are actually 4.5 kms away.

2) The tents are old and torn. The bath room facilities are pathetic and not clean.

3) Now the most pathetic part is the food. Dinner is not served properly and is cold enough. The staff is untrained. Breakfast is only for name sake. They would serve only 2-3 fruits and breads to eat. That too the butter or jams they use is pathetic..

4) There are no leisure activities in camp. Camel ride which is given by the camp is only for 10 minutes. For the rest one has to pay from there own pockets.

5) The pictures, location, amenities provided by the camp on the advertisement on brochures and internet is not real. I will repeat again , the pictures are misleading the customers. Thus, I would suggest not to go by them. The camp cheats people in some way. But they have some silly reasons to defend themselves.

Pros
1) Calm , neat and clean
2) Well arranged camel ride and other programs
3) The artist who presents the folk music are good
4) Proper seating arrangements.
5) Hot water supply

Room Tip: Chose the tent which seems to be new

To start with the camp is located very far from the dunes, hence not the best idea if one wants to enjoy the dunes. It is located even far off the main road, hard to navigate at night if you are driving yourself. The tents are clean and well maintained, but the surroundings are infested by houseflies. The staff though not well trained, are exceptionally cordial.
We were promised a camel safari, the safari did happen but it was from a distance to the dunes mostly through terrain without any sand. Hence the whole purpose of camel safari gets defeated, thus we needed to pay extra to enjoy a camel ride on the sands. We were taken to another location for events in the evening as the camp didn't have enough occupants, the performances were enjoyable though without the bon fire as catalogued. We were also to have evening snacks and a 'Gala Dinner', what was delivered was awful and probably the worst food I ever had. The night stay was ok, the morning breakfast was again awful. I think people deserve better when they come so far for an experience.

We visited The Golden Camp with most amazing memories with out standing experiences.

1- Camel Safari
2- Night Safari
3- Sand Dune open gypsy safari
4- Para gliding
5- Traditional dance & Performances

I guess in 1 day it self we lived best of it...!

Though it was chilling so travelers must carry their warmers and enough to protect against cold.
The tents were pretty well decorated and warmers were effective. Food was average, traditional Rajasthani food was good. Staff could be little more soft and warm but still beyond the experiences.

Cheers!

Room Tip: tents at the end

1. We the only guest in camp.
2. No cultural program organized at camp. We went to other camp in open jeep in freezing cold to see cultural program. The guy who took us there left us there and went away after program the other camp owner drop us this idiotic camp.
3. No proper arrangement for food in camp. Cold dinner served. no butter available in breakfast.
4. Tent interior was damn old which made that look so bad.
5. No warm water in bathroom in freezing cold. Only one bucket warm water provided when I asked them for it only.
6. At least camp owner should inform us at the time of checking in or after some time that there is no other guests would come.
7, Like they took us to the other camp for cultural events they could have shift us to other camp.
8. Food served again in idiotic camp which look.

9. only one good is that staff was very soft spoken.

I really regret I wasted my 6 thousand bucks on this rubbish. I am strictly recommend not even go near this camp. They completely spoiled my first wedding anniversary.

Room Tip: There is only one tip choose any other camp and inquire properly by yourself.
