Hi everyone! I want to write phew words about Pol Haveli. When we arrived to Jaisalmer, we were greeted very warmly. Wonderful service, clean rooms, clean bathroom and always hot running water (that we had problems with during our travel through India) and fresh and delicious food. When you arrive there’s always some of the staff, who comes to pick you up for free, as well as to drop you when you leave Jaisalmer. The staff workers are polite and helpful, and always there, when you need any help. The hotel is situated close to the market, about 7 minutes by walk, as well as to the fort. The prices are reasonable for the nice rooms they have. They help with any question, don’t hesitate to ask for it, if you need.

From the terrace there’s a beautiful view over the fort and the city itself. There’s a special atmosphere and aura, and a special sunset view.

P.S: Thank you Manu, for the hospitality, and thank you Manoj, for the deliciously cooked meals!

Manu and his battery of very hardworking, honest and friendly staff take care of everything. My room was the best one. It was 1500 a night and had a bath tub! Yes, believe me. It was very very well decorated in traditional embroidered panels and furniture. The food is inexpensive but tasty. The terrace has a seating area for travellers to soak in the winter sun and interact with each other. 10 minutes from the fort at best. Manu took care of our desert safari as well and it was not a crowded camel-poo smelling place. But serene and peaceful with a gazillion stars in the sky. Jaisalmer is easy to fall in love with. Pol Haveli on gives you another reason to come back to. There were a few solo long stay travelers and Manu even took one of the french ladies who was travelling alone to see the sunset on his bike. They do so many small things right. I'll go back and I'll tell Manu to keep my large room with the bathtub ready.

Room Tip: Large room on the first floor is brilliant.

I have been in Jaisalmer twice with my friend, both of the times stayed in Pol Haveli, the marvelous masterpiece in the Golden City. I was seduced by the beautiful view from the terrace, delicious meals, clean and simple, but same time tastefully decorated and very cozy rooms, which allowed me feel like in a castle, and definitely not in the 21st century. Manu and Manoj are the people I'll be always grateful for the wonderful stay and willingness to help in any situation and at any time. People there greet you with warm smiles and kind hearts, the place itself is simply magical. Me and my friend could spend hours resting on the balcony, just being caught in the moment in time, when you realize how beautiful and unique the place is. If you ever think of staying in a nice place, with friendly people around, and enjoying the tasty and fresh meals, and watch the sunset or have a beautiful view from the rooftop, Pol Haveli is the perfect place, I'd go there for the third time as well! Thank you! P.S. I forgot to mention that Pol Haveli is the nicest hotel we stayed at, during our travel through India!

We spent 3 nights at Pol Haveli's place and it was so nice! We really felt home and Manu (boss) and all the other staff are very friendly and really want to help you! They picked us up at the trainstation for free and even brought us back! Pol Haveli has 9 beautiful decorated rooms in different priceclasses. They are all unique and very cosy! The hotel is situated just outside the centre, but in a quiet neighbourhoud at walking distance (10 min.) from the fort. We really enjoyed staying there. We also arranged a camel safari by them, which we really enjoyed! Don't hesitate and make the right choice by staying at this place and just enjoy this friendly place!

There are so many good things to say about Pol Haveli. Firstly the hotel is beautiful, made out of sandstone with many intricate carvings and local wall hangings - even the base of the beds are carved stone!

But the real attraction of this guest house is all down to the owner and staff. Manu really understands hospitality (he has even visited 5 star hotels with his own money to research how to provide good service!) but moreover he is a genuinely nice guy. There is absolutely no hassle or pressure. Manu picked us up when we arrived and dropped us off at the station when we left for free. He gave us a discount on the room price without us really having to ask. He recommended a shop without taking any commission. When we had a problem with the room about 5 of the staff came immediately to fix it.

The roof top terrace is a great place to relax and to meet other travellers as well as to chat with the staff. The food was decent. The bed was comfortable, only complaint about the room being that there was no hot water but you don't need it in the desert and they'll bring a bucket of hot water if you want.

The camel safari through the hotel was also great. We slept in the dunes under the stars with not another person or tourist in sight. Go for the version that stops at the temples and tombs on the way, the Jain temple in the desert was much better than those in the fort. Be prepared though, camel safaris are hot and uncomfortable!

We stayed here for a few days and were immediately impressed by the building and the rooms. It was much nicer than most of the places we stayed in India for the same price. There was also a range of rooms from shared bathroom to ac.

The upstairs area is a great place to relax.

The staff are all very friendly and I found the owner Manu one of the most honest and welcoming people I met in my time in India.

We also did a camel tour through the hotel which was amazing. It was just me and my girlfriend with our camel guide and we slept under the full moon in sand dunes with no one else around.

This was our favourite hotel in our stay in India.
