“Beauty (location) and the beast (food)”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013 via mobile

We had the best seat to view the sunset from. Had a beer and felt like we were in heaven. We should have given up whilst we were ahead. We ordered adventurously and these dishes disappointed us. However the 'slow cooked' daal was burnt and the vegetable rice very oily (this was inexcusable). The waiters were polite but you had to try hard to get their attention in a relatively quiet resturant.

“Eat on the rooftop if you can, great view of fort and city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

A nice place to eat in Jaisalmer... eat on the rooftop if you can, as it offers an amazing view of the city, and the restaurant is not air-conditioned (though it is India...). The food is good, though perhaps a little more pricey than nearby competitors (6-9 CAD/USD for meat dishes). A sweet older man played music for us on the rooftop, soon to be joined by two little boys who were in the mood to dance.

“Good food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013 via mobile

Saffron has good non-veg food and it's beautiful but the should have AC. Even the dishes I asked if they could make zero spicy, and they said yes, was very spicy. But this is not the problem as you are in India.

“Delicious food, nice views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2013 via mobile

Yummmyy!! The food here is to die for! Especially after being in the desert for a few days.
The views are magic and the service is friendly. Food takes a while to cook but it is worth it.
Vege pizza was so good and so were the curries we tried.
The small band playing the background music made the place really atmospheric and enjoyable.
Its not ideal for a backpacker budget but nice for a treat.
