At first glance this hotel seemed like an ideal option for the price. My friends and I paid 660 per night for double rooms without AC (so 330 per person). It was winter, so AC was not necessary anyway. The rooms were quite basic (no telephone to call the desk/restaurant, no TV, etc.) and smelled faintly of cigarette smoke, but were passably clean and were fine for the few hours we spent there. The restaurant provided a rather limited menu, but the food was tasty enough, if a bit on the expensive side. The "included" breakfast was nothing more than toast, butter, jam, and tea, which we found disappointing, but we were able to order eggs (and pay extra for them).
Our biggest complaint regards customer service. When we arrived we asked for drinking water several times, and they said they would provide it, but they never gave us any until the following day. We also asked them for some mosquito repellent for the rooms, which had a fair number of mosquitoes flying around in them. Again they promised to bring it, but they never did.
But the worst part of all was the camel safari we booked through the hotel. When we originally made our reservations they told us that a 3-hour camel safari would cost 800 rupees per person. When we arrived at the hotel (just a couple weeks later), the man told us that it would be 1200 rupees. We were able to get him down to 1100 rupees, which he said would include transportation to and from the safari as well as dinner while on the safari. Well, the "transportation" ended up being a public bus that was extremely crowded - not even any seats for most of the journey. Then the camels themselves were not healthy - one had flies crawling all over its nose to the point where we didn't even want to take photos of it because of how disgusting it looked. The saddles on each camel were falling apart and clearly had seen better days, and the only food provided was chai and 2 packets of biscuits (value: 20 rupees at most). When we raised our frustration with the owner and told him that we were not satisfied and felt that he misled us and didn't give us what he promised, he became very angry and started yelling at us. He went so far as to say, "Whether you are satisfied or not doesn't matter."
Because of the poor handling of this situation and the overall poor quality of customer service, I can only recommend that you stay far away from this hotel and look elsewhere for your accommodations and/or camel safari while in Bikaner.
