I just stayed here for one night with a couple of friends, but had a lovely experience. The family are very sweet and very helpful (and auntie-ji cooks fabulous food - including chicken!). They helped us to organise a camel safari and let us leave our bags in the homestay while we spent the night out in the desert. The constant supply of hot water was a blessing after a night on the bus in the middle of winter, and the room was comfortable, spacious and clean.
The only minor issues was that our room still had the previous family in it even though our bus got in 2 hours later than we had initially said, and that a door on the dining room might not be a bad idea - I'm sure it's lovely in the summer but in mid-December it's freezing! (But I'll say again, the food was phenomenal and made up for it.)

If you're looking for something nice, this is your place and these are your people! Enchanting, relaxed and laid back with all the hot spots just a stone throw away. Wether you like to eat proper Indian food, enjoy a drink at the rooftop terrace or chill in the garden on a swing-sofa. This place makes me so comfortable, it's hard to leave. Mr Singh will be there for you, no matter what and his wife Hamsa will cook you the best food, you will come back for more.. believe me. (Like me, since it's opening in 2010) This is a true family guesthouse.
The rooms are terrific, large, full of Rajasthani ornaments and the showers... wow! Hot, enough water, something you might care for after traveling for a while. There is laundry service with a real washing machine :D

This is a great homely place where meals are served at the family table and good clean rooms are provided. The rooms come with ensuite, tv and wi-fi. It's situated within walking distance of the fort and a short tuk tuk from where the bus from the south arrives and a short walk to where the buses heading north depart from.
The host is a former bodyguard to the maharaja, burely and with a fine moustache! We were really looked after here and found the people of this small town a delight to meet.
The owner will point you in the right direction for the bus to the famous rat temple in nearby deshnok, a great stop on our journey north.

It' a small, family owned guesthouse with very nice rooms. We had a big room with attached bathroom, free wifi on the room and an old tv. Everything was very clean and the owners are very nice and helpful. It has a very good value/offer deal, we paid 700 for a 3bedroom with an extra bed.
It's 1 km to the railway station and 1 km to the fort next to a quiete street (no shops, restaurants...)

The only thing we didn't like was the restaurant. We had to wait 20 minutes to take the order. The owner shopped afterwards. The cuttlery was the first time really dirty. We had to wait for ages (up to 2 hours, no other guests in the restaurant) The food and the prices are ok.
