Good exposure to camels of different places - Jaisalmer, Bikaner etc, their life, and camel products. You get to taste camel milk. Camel ride is available for Rs. 30/-. Products made from Camel hide are also available here.

The information at this museum is incredible. You'll learn about the historic uses of camels, the various products made from camel hair/bone, camel mating, and get a chance to taste pasteurized camel milk and ice cream (both of which are really, really good). Don't blow this off as a sideshow - it's really worth checking out!

We went at about 4:30pm after reading from another reviewer that the herd returns then-- great time for it, as hundreds of camels, big and small, were in the corrals then. You'll see camels all over Rajasthan of course, but this was a fun look at baby camels. The quirky museum is worth a 20 min look, and do get the camel ice cream (we didn't get sick, in case you are sketched out by the packaging).

If you're going to be in Bikaner, this is an interesting place to spend a little time. It's on the outskirts of town and it's a low key place but since I really like camels I had to visit and seeing them rushing back from their graze area was terrific as they came pounding into the compound. So, you have to get there right before they come back around 4pm. There are a lot of camels in Rajasthan, you see them everywhere but this place will also give you interesting information about them.
