This is a clam, clean and peaceful place in Pondicherry, India. As there is a pin drop silence in that place we can meditate peaceful for more than a hour. The ashram's garden is well-maintained and the flowers there seems to smile. we can enjoy the silence during the meditation near the mother's samadhi. photography is strictly prohibited inside the ashram (and also the mobile phones have to be switched off). The Ashram sells some books of mother,Aurobindo and others ,photographs, chains, rings etc.and the price is nominal. The Ashram is very close to the sea beach.

A place where you can connect with your inspiration devoid of noise, any monetary exchange, clutter. One can feel at ease and peace here. It is unlike a temple which could be crowded and people have got into a habit of paying for getting their wishes fulfilled. It is unlike a masjid where women are barred from entering.
It's a sensible person's place of worship, i say this as i am not a follower of Sri Aurobindo but still felt the peace here that the seer and the mother had wanted to bring into this world.
Only problem they don't permit children below 4 years so if you are going with younger kinds you will need to take turns for visiting the place.

Quiet is hard to find in India.. But this place has it. I enjoyed a small amount of time here. Gorgeous gardens surround this ashram. There is a beautifully flower decorated alter in the center. No photos allowed. No Shoes allowed, Plus no talking allowed. However, I enjoyed the quiet tranquil moments here. I felt the devotion of the worshippers in this place.
No shoes inside - there is a place across the street where you can leave them whiel you enter.
Make sure you see the alter before you leave. The flowers arranged over the alter is beautiful. So artistic!! There are books in the ashram for sale if you like.

This is a beautiful ashram, calm, peaceful, and clean. There's no talking allowed, and no photography. The ashram lies behind gates. Once inside, there's a sense of spaciousness, with spaces for worship amid the gardens. There's a gift store, with books in many languages. I'm not huge on ashrams so can't wax more enthusiastic, but for people who appreciate an inter-faith spiritual approach, this is a must-see.

It is divine and is a great place for meditation. Every flower here represents the divine mother's compassion.
