Good and well maintained zoo in Bhubaneshwar ( on the outskirts) . There is ample space inside the zoo , the speciality of the zoo is the presence of the white tiger. There is a tiger, lion and deer safari for only Rs 40/- which is very good. The train ride is not very good although cheap and one can choose to avoid. Also various places including the zoo websit3 mention that ther is a ropeway ride, but in reality it is shut since almost an year or more. You can visit the place by taking a city rom Master Canteen to Nandankanan directly. The bus stop is just a 5 mins walk away from the zoo. Children will enjoy a lot with almost all the animals to see. Please do not carry any food inside the zoo there are two canteens inside but not much of variety . Certainly worth the visit.

One of the well maintained zoos I have ever visited in India with deer, white tiger and lion safari. I came across varieties of species and in good atmosphere.

I can recommend every one to visit this zoo. One will not regret visiting this zoo!

Entry fee is very little. Rs. 20/- for adults and Rs. 5 for kids. Please don't take any kind of plastic with you or poly thene bag. The Zoo authorities will physically scan your bag and take it out. So better not to carry.
Ample space inside. All major animals available. Disliked the train ride. Its useless. Please avoid

Its a decent place but wont call it a great one. The guides haunt you here as well and you have to walk a lot if you don't take their service. Some other services like the safari, train ride are not worth the money you pay.

You can not carry plastic inside and even if you carry biscuit packets, it would be emptied into a paper cover. So don't carry anything

Amidst the natural beauty of natural forest adjacent to Chandaka-Dampara Wildlife Sanctuary, Nandankanan lies in the vicinity of Kanjia lake. The zoo is enriched with 101 enclosures with 202 sub-enclosures at Nandankanan. It has the significance of having both the cages and open moat enclosures. There are 54 cages and 47 open moated enclosures to house all the captive animals of Nandankanan. It has 120 species of animals.
