I have been a regular visitor to Bhimashankar every year since a decade, with a group of my friends. This place has basic infrastructure, maintained in itself, and we have seen it better each time we went there. The rooms, linen, toilets are clean, of course they can be better. Awesome location. Good and edible food. There is no mobile network, except for BSNL. But there is a pay phone at the reception office to connect.

The best time is monsoons - June - August

The plus about this place is the scenic beauty, especially in the monsoons. Its like a green carpet with the rains, and feels like a walk in the clouds. This place is close to the famous Bhimashankar Temple. There are hardly any other places to stay around the temple. So this one is mostly full. So better to book your rooms in advance.

This is a treat to nature lovers, One can just take a walk in the greens,or forest area around and would do some birding. You can request the hotel office to arrange for a guide - who was an old man led by his dog, to take you deep into the forest.
The resort is huge enough- if you are in a large group, you can play cricket, badminton, or any other game as well - of course, bring your own gear.

There is a small lake in the vicinity of the resort. The winds will talk to you. Expect a lot of gustling or howling winds. This place has a lot of silence and serenity. The resort could use some lights in the nights in the open areas. Make sure to carry torches.

All in all - Value for money, a treat to the eyes, body, mind and soul.

The location of the hotel is near the Bhimashankar Forest and some 12 km before the Bhimashankar temple. Best season to go is End of Monsoon i.e. September - October. Also the place is not very crowded. Best choice if you wanna get rid of the hectic ans stressful life for some days.
We were 21 and had booked for 2 cottages and a bungalow but the Manager offered us 9 bedroom bungalow which was the newest. The rooms had attached wash rooms and were very neat and clean. The rooms were with Balcony from where one can have a scenic view of the awesome lake, hills, valleys and green forests.
Food Quality was very good. The food had some typical traditional taste of the land where it is located and was a bit spicy too and also a lot of variety incase of Buffet. Not much variety if you wanna order through Menu Card. Dining Hall is a bit older.
The place being remote, ensure that you have all those that you need with you. You'll only get BSNL mobile network. All other network are down.
The major drawback this resort has is that it does not have any facilities like indoor games, swimming pools hence one cannot survive there more than a day or two.
Overall its a good place to be if you wann go with friends, as couple and family but only for a day or two.

Room Tip: 9 bedroom bungalow at the extreme end of the entrance are the latest and too good.

Self,Wife,2 yr old daughter & my mother we checked in on 2nd July 2011 @ Blue Mormon Resort, Bhimashankar. Welcome reception was good / rooms were OK . The location is the best and in the monsoon its really great. Food was fantastic and we got the best Value for Money. The only aspect which we did not like was the toilets - not maintained properly.. It was OK but they could have maintained it much better. Must See Bhimashankar Temple (one of the Jyothirlinga's) which is around 6 kms from the resort. VISITORS BEWARE : ONLY BSNL MOBILE HAS NETWORK and no other operators have network there.

Room Tip: try to avoid the cottage rooms..

The hotel is just an average hotel which is 2 kms inside from main road. The rooms are not up to expectation. I reserved a cottage for 1200 but receptionist wasn't aware. He showed me suite and cottage. I didn't required suite as sofa and extra room was of no use to me. I opted for cottage which had 1 twin bed and 1 single bed(single bed was waste as we were two). the bedsheet was old. the pillows were too hard. The toilet was indian style. Overall not worth the money. Only thing I liked was the service. The food provided was fine. They provided food in room. This resort is about 12 kms from temple. There are power cuts but they have generator. In night we were roaming in resort when we found snake in path, so not safe to go out in night. Later we found there are few other hotels too which were offering much better room in less price. so next day we switched hotel as we had to spend less time in hotel and any normal room would do for us. Overall you have other choices also like hotel Natraj(under construction but offers room and good room service)which you can explore after reaching there. Nearest petrol pump is 35kms at ghodegoan. Get your tanks filled else you'll have to buy petrol in black at higher rates.

The resort location is absolutely amazing. Some of the cottages are only some 10s of metres away from the valley, so the view from cottages is awesome. The resort is little remote, making it calm and also very romantic.
Rooms are not that great, they are average but kept very clean and all basic amenities are present. Food is also good. Room service is not very good, but everything is averaged out by the location.
There is a small manmade pond, its very romantic place, specially in the afternoon.
Overall its a good resort at great location.

It was a quickly worked out trip plan for our office trip, a group size of about 28 people. We did not have many expectations built up, for the price of 950 per head, including bed, and all meals for a day, it was a well priced offer. After a two hour drive from pune, we just entered the curved hilly pathways leading to this hotel, and man were we awestruck; remember when in movies you see buildings appearing amidst fog and almost perfect drizzle. It took a minute for the fog to clear, and for us to see the hotel building completely, and non of us wanted to leave that view and go inside. Well we did, and we did not have any surprises in there, not too bad, not too good, just what you need to spend a day in wilderness.

Given the fact that they have an absolute monopoly there, they are quite decently setup. We were fixed up in a couple of hotel rooms and five 3-bedded cottages. The hotel rooms were like a 2 star hotel, with basic amenities, tv, hot water(did not test that though), a decently made up bed and low/average interiors.

The cottages were a bare minimum, but neat enough to comfortable stay setup. We had one extra bed placed in each of the rooms. the rooms had 3 beds, an attached bath and stood in the middle on a green field in front of the main hotel building.
Hot water was provided there on request at a bucket per person basis. they had some wood burning heater setup somewhere behind the hotel. Took an hour or so and it is available only in the morning and evening.

Enough of the physical setup, and talking about the amenities - the food was excellent and i mean the lunch/dinner. Would not taste that nice here in pune city, but imagine sitting in that super cold atmosphere, where you look out of the window and see clods kissing the glass windows, and then you feel the steam rising from your plate. the items on the menu were much more than a moderate attempt, and even though the cooks and entire staff is from the villages nearby, the food was tasty and quite presentable - everyone loved the eating experience. Place was clean and no shabbiness anywhere.
Breakfast too was not disappointing, and the tea tasted so goo, more credits to the ambiance and the chill in the air.
About the night sleep, you might be troubled by a few night flying creatures but nothing that a mosquito coil cant fix. the weather is soothing, and to top it off, you can imagine the pleasure of rain hitting the cement sheets and putting you to sleep.

Overall, an average hoteling experience, but an excellent trip, and a bunch of happy and relaxed souls coming back to pune.

Had being to this resort recently on a Week end days. We were 14 friends all together left out to enjoy & trek the nature around. Surely Resort do not have any of the STAR aminieties neither we were there to inspect it. Also What do we expect in area like Bhimashankar which is under State forest department control. We were only there to trek out the Jungle/forest around. And that is What we did perfectly.

Aminities at the Hotel are comparable to any average hotel around but location around is really very good. Hotel area is around 175 aceres, still under development, totally submerged into the nature around. Like they have their own water sport lake (not in working when we visited in Jan), very good garden around, folwing stream from the area passes through the lake, Two temples at the distance place which work like a obserbatory over to the Hills. You can very easily trek the entire area. They have their own restaurant with average Quality food. We had veg buffet lunch which atleast our team enjoyed as we were totally hungry. Good people with average Service. Surely would recommend for people who can enjoy silent nature & forest around but Not for people looking out for a STAR resort.
