Located around 35 kms from Pune, this temple has wonderful garden/ park with well-paved walkway for a comfortable stroll around the park (comfortable for kids and families as well). One of the walk-ways leads to river that has a small water-fall where one can sit at the river-bank.

Most ideal for family picnic! Great to visit during monsoon - wonderful weather, clean fresh air, lush green surroundings.

It is near Nasrapur off Pune Satara road. One can go by own vehicle or by PMC bus from Swargate ( Starting Points at both ends) This is important with buses to get seats. Now for temple it is Hemadpanti style stone structure. Nice clean place calm if you reach before 1200-1300. Then hordes of tourist buses will dump their touristy passengers with loud music playing on in their buses.Take your water & sandwitches or eatables with you, have nice time in adjacent botanical garden well maintenined by forest dept. They sell useful medicinal plants( some can be grown in your balcony even) I saw trees from which kumkum is made( Ido not understand how so many shops sell kukmukm when I saw trees for first time here.) If you are a bit advatureous you can cross a broken fence enter dry bed of shivganga river across river we saw small typical temple of Maruti undr peepal tree. A small mangalore tiled roof brick & chuna structure. Soothing no frills place. You can make this trip from pune in about 6-7 hours including your siesta under some tree

I have visited this temple with my family. We have traveled through car after visiting balaji temple in narayanpur. Temple area is very calm and clean. Near by temple some park are there. Water falls is another attraction for this temple. But when I visited we heard there is no water. May be in monsoons will be good enough. In weekends carry some food and snacks n spend some time over there. From Nasrapur take a turn and drive to few kms you can reach the temple. Please check your fuel and tyre conditions before going there. In temple pond there are some turtles and fishes are there, so kids can enjoy. Only two shops are in the temple premises to get cool drinks and snacks. Overall its nice experience.

A must visit place around pune just 35 kms. It was small rapids flowing behind the temple after the rains. The garden is a great place to unwind anytime of the year. We visited along with our family members with cooked food and enjoyed there for 3-4 hours in the greenery and open healthy place to be.
