“Best 'to go' service”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

I've been a Blue Nile fan since I was knee high and I've never been disappointed by their food.
It's quality, quantity, freshness and presentation account for their continued success.
My last experience was simply wonderful - I walked in for a parcel order and was pleasantly surprised to find myself at a computerized take-away counter. About 5 minutes after placing a really large party order, I was walking out with my parcels full of this wonderful moghlai manna!
Way to go!

This is the second place that has good biryani in Pune. I love the food and also the atmosphere. The food is loved by many that’s why there is crowd all the time.

“Main attraction is the food!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Chanced on this resto thanks to a recommendation by a friend. From outside, it wont give you the feel of a resto with great food.. but boy... wait till you taste the food!! It is a place which is crowded, has uncomfortable seating, bit stuffy and hot even due to the large crowd of people.. but it is all worth it to taste their lip-smacking fare!

We had ordered Mutton biriyani, bheja fry, bheja gravy, kulcha, mutton kohlapuri and some juice. Each dish they served was mouth wateringly good!! No wonder you will see a long queue of people lining up outside :)

Their service is fast, and it is impressive to see them taking orders on tabs and doing about their business in lightning speed. A must visit if you are in Pune.

Recommendation - try their Bheja fry.. it is totally different and out of the world. so is the mutton kohlapuri.

“Where are the Pyramids?”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

Tantalizingly named and the epitome of good and wholesome mughlai and Indian food in the camp district of Pune, Blue Nile restaurant has consistently delivered a satisfying experience.

The sentry at the entrance assists you with parking alongside if required since the location is at a busy intersection.

The restaurant is divided into 2 halls - the family and general - and the checkered tablecloths provide a homely atmosphere. The waiters look as it there have been there since the time of the pharaohs and can reel off the items on the menu by rote. There is also a take-away section where you place the order, get a token and wait for your fare to be delivered in a tidy parcel.

The portions are of reasonable size although the liberal use of oil in the cooking might prove
a deterrent to the diet conscious. Anyway one is not here if you are on diet and the piece de resistance is the ubiquitous Irani biryani either using chicken or mutton.

Altogether a welcoming destination although one would have preferred the Coca Cola hoarding at the entrance to be less conspicuous !
