Almost right at the entrance, the path split into 2. One side was the larger fall, but almost 1 km away. After trudging up the steps, we discovered it was only a view point to the fall, which was on the other side of the valley. Came down to the entrance and walked to the smaller one. This was much closer and we found a comfortable spot to relax by the water.

Only flip side is the access to the falls is 1-way road. One needs to get almost close to the town, if you are heading towards Panchgani.

Traveled in winter and hence the water level was low. The pathways are clean and railed and the trek is easy. The view from the top is quite beautiful. Should take more than an hour to visit both the falls. Small vendors with water bottles, corn, buttermilk etc are available on the roadside.

Its a sure-shot visit for any traveller to Mahabaleshwar. The feeling that one gets on seeing water falling majestically and gracefully high up from the cliff is indescribable and the joy experienced is indeed unparalleled. The little drops of falling water appear as streaks of silver and give a rainbow effect when the sunshine falls on it. The water falls below to a height of 600 feet, and the sound of water is so melodious that it feels as if it has a certain rhythm to it. From the falls, this water further goes into the valley of Venna. The most pristine form of natural beauty can be seen here as the waterfalls are surrounded by lush greenery.

Lingmala waterfalls is situated 6 km from Mahabaleshwar and can be reached via the Mahabaleshwar-Panchgani road. The water here launches from a height of approx. 600 feet. The clear water of the Lingmala waterfalls cascades into the Venna Lake and then into the Venna River. A must-visit in Mahabaleshwar.
