“Long weekend Holiday”
Reviewed April 1, 2014

We visited the hotel for 2 nights and 3 dayz. The overall stay was nice and pleasant. It is located near panchgani market. The hotel is very well maintained and it was clean. The swimming pool area was also big enough to accomodate many people and avoid crowding. We had got the room on the first floor. It was clean and tidy with all basic things like TV, AC, Towel, Blanket,Tea and coffee maker. In our package we had breakfast and dinner in buffet style. I enjoyed breakfast, it was nice but dinner was not good. The taste and quality of food should be improved. Also the food served was very typical and not hot to enjoy. The website shows that there is discotheque but it was not available even on long weekend. In the lunch time we ordered the food from the same restaurant i.e Kadi khichadi but we enjoyed that very much. It was hot and good enough. The outside area is well maintained with many different kind of flowers and we can take many pictures too. Overall I would rate it as 3.5/5.

We wanted a break from all the work we were doing and My wife and Me just got that. A great break. Apprehensive from the reviews in TripAdv, when i reached here, i was expecting ample parking as mentioned. The reception was an kind of drab and staff all male, so my apprehensions were being fed even further. However thats that, as soon as we exited the reception, we we welcomed by beautiful landscpaed gardens and a giant but beautiful pool. The room was fine with no hassles. It could have been better, but no complaints. We knew we wanted to eat in different places in panchgani, so we did not solicit the restaurant a lot, but the one time we visited, was good. Maybe we visited during lean season so the hotel seemed peaceful and cool. Just a 1.2 KM walk from main market in panchgani. all in all, it was good holiday.

Room Tip: ask for a room overseeing the valley atthe back end if they are giving you a first floor room.

We had our annual conference at the venue (it can accommodate about 100 people) last weekend. I had approached it with a bit of anxiety since the reviews on Trip Advisor where not too encouraging. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. It is fairly close to the main Panchgani market with ample parking space. The people at the reception could do with some training in smiling more at customers and being a bit enthusiastic, however they were polite and adequate.
The resort itself was pretty and well maintained with excellent garden with pretty flowers and a nice inviting pool. The rooms were quite good too, clean and hygienic. There were the usual amenities including a tea coffee maker (previous reviewers have written to the contrary).
The only disappointing aspect was the food. Typical Indian food made too spicy and too oily. Resort owners need to realize that Indian palates are changing and should at least offer a choice of the non-traditional food items. Even though all meals were free for us here, we chose to have lunch at Hotel Prospect that I have reviewed earlier by paying for it since the food there is so good.
Overall, good value for money. Better if you are in a group or even just want to chill out.

Room Tip: I prefer the pool facing rooms on the ground floor as there is great cross ventilation if you keep t...

The most beautiful hotel at affordable prices

The hotel is situated near Pachgani city and the location is very good. You can indulge yourself in such a scenic environment. The garden and the swimming pool are clean and too good to spent time there itself. Food is good and warm. Room service is also good. Rooms and bathrooms are kept clean and the bed covers and spread are clean. The hotel is very calm and beautiful will love to stay there again.

Room Tip: Groung Floor rooms open to the garden

We went here as group of friends for a post Diwali break in November 2013. We drove from Bombay (about 275 kms one way). The location is good, about 10 mins walk from the main market street of Panchgani. The entrance is big gate with ample parking space within the premises itself. However, looked like the place needed some repairs and also a paint job.

The property is large and green. The rooms are on ground floor and 1st floor on the periphery of the property and in the centre they have a decent sized lawn with a swimming pool and an open place where buffet breakfast is served every morning.

The check-in was quick as we had made a booking online just a couple of days before. There as indoor sports like table tennis and a carrom board at the lobby/reception level. We tried the in-house restaurant but it was about average only and so was the breakfast. It was certainly not VFM and we tried both places only once, and ate outside everytime in out 3N/4D trip.

The pool wasn't the most clean but we went in pool only once, that too for a short while, as being November evening, the water was cold and seemed like we had the pool to ourselves. The rooms were huge with massive sized beds, ample space otherwise too and even a balcony. The beds were not comfortable and the balcony was not cleaned. The view from the balcony was of a forest with walls and barbed wire fencing over the walls for safety. The room did not have any refrigerator/tea coffee making facilities which was disappointing, more so considering the last minute tariff we had paid. Bathroom was big but seemed old and needed renovation.

The property is nice but with some improvements in service and some renovation/repairs, it can be a fine place. Families would enjoy more here as they have magic shows and other programs/activities in the evenings, to keep everyone busy.

The overall experience was just about average. Recommended for budget travel during low/off season.

Room Tip: 2 options - pool facing or hill/forest facing!
