Resort was as per shown on thier site. Location is a little away from the market but if you need peace and enjoy natural surroundings , this resort fits the bill. The rooms were very big & spacious. The house keeping team was at its best. Room service was on time . Food was good. The garden was well maintained. The staff was very cooperative . The restaurant is a bit small. Swimming pool is very large , but not very clean. Overall a nice stay . Good memories.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your stay at Blue Country Resort and for your kind review.

We have been working on improving our service over the past year and have tried to ensure that our property is well maintained in order to provide a great holiday experience to our guests. We do however regret that you found the pool cleanliness to be questionable and are working to ensure that this is dealt with immediately. We are currently in the process of setting up a garden restaurant in order for our guests to choose to dine both indoors and by our lush green garden. Our Garden Restaurant should be operational by Mid May, 2012.

We hope you visit us again and we can ensure that you have a great holiday.

Thank you.

This is a simple resort with decent rooms. The rooms are spacious. The bed is comfy. The TV N AC work. The resort has a large garden in the center with a swimming pool and the rooms open into the central garden. Food is good but they charge more for room service. Food is overpriced. It is very near the table land at Panchgani and the Panchgani Market is not too far. Its recommended to have your own vehicle as getting taxis from that location may not be easy. The room's lock was not working but we make it work by calling the reception. Same for the TV. It needs someone to come and fix it. There is a fridge in the room but is not working!

Room Tip: Pool facing on the ground floor so that you can get access to garden as well as pool view

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind review and you visit to Blue Country Resort.

It gives us great joy in you appreciation of our room size and the overall ambiance of our property. We are focused on maintaining our high standards of food quality and hygiene and are working on introducing multiple cuisines for our guests to choose from.

In order to make travel within Panchgani and Mahabeleshwar convenient for our guests, we have introduced a shuttle service which guests can use to be dropped off and picked up from Panchgani and Mahbeleshwar market. Timings of which are available on our website.

In order to conserve energy and be more environment friendly we have incorporated several measures like rain water harvesting, installed solar heaters and unplug switched while a room is not occupied. The fridge and tv’s in all the rooms are functional however they may have been unplugged at the time. We have a maintainece person at the property at all times who can attend to avoid any breakdown of equipment.

Thank you.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your king review.

We have had a tie-up with Club Mahindra Hollidays for our Dexul Room since the year 2001. Over the past two years Clum Mahindra has been selling our room as Studio rooms and we have faced several issue where guests felt that they have been mislead by Clum Mahindra.
Due to this several guests were unhappy however allotment of rooms to Club Mahindra guests was out of our control due to our long term contract with them. We are no longer associated with Clum Mahindra due to this issue and several others. We regret that you faced an inconvenience in you stay with us in you expectation of a Studio room.

We apologies if you found our food variety to be limited. We are working on introducing a multi cuisine menu with several items to choose from which will be served in our indoor and garden restaurant. We have also have a great buffet with appetizer, soup, salad, two vegetarian dished, dal, one non vegetarian dish, rice and a sweet dish. We try to ensure that we can give as much variety as possible to our guests. We also have other cuisines like Chinese and continental. We have also started a shuttle service with a pick up and drop service to and from panchgani and mahabeleshwar market. You may visit our website for more details on the same.

We welcome you to Blue Country Resort again not and a Club Mahindra Guest but as our guest. We hope we can make your next holiday a memorable one.

Thank you.

Very good garden & swimming pool. This hotel is 1.5km from Shivaji Chowk. Taxi take minimum fair of Rs. 60 (any single ride). Very good atmosphere. Service is good & staff was friendly. But restaurant is very ordinary and food choice is very limited. It is advisable to go out for food. Avoid non-veg in this hotel.

Room Tip: Almost all room are swimming pool facing. Choose ground floor so that you can enjoy the lawn.

We went there as Club Mahindra members. The stay here was quite disappointing and at most a 2 star US motel like experience. A classic example of substandard and overpriced resorts in India .

Cons :
- The entire property is fenced with walls blocking any valley views whatsoever (why do you call it a resort ??). The property feels quite claustrophobic and there is no place to go around for an evening stroll except for parking lot. Landscaping is quite odd.
- Normal Hotel Unit Room (without kitchnette) but studio nights were deducted from our Club Mahindra membership.
- Amateur restaurant service and ordinary dining hall (like udipi restaurant).
- Amateur housekeeping.
- 9am checkout time. Are you kidding ???

Club Mahindra needs to ensure certain minimum service & property standards (like the one observed in their own properties) when they tie up with affiliate resorts.

Room Tip: Dont waste your club mahindra nights at this resort

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your stay at Blue Country Resort and your honest review.

We have different types of rooms at the resort, 12 Valley View rooms, 10 pool view rooms and 17 rooms with a garden view. You probably selected a ground floor room with a garden or a pool view where you are bound to see a wall behind. A wall around the property is required for the safety of our guests.

I would like to bring to your attention that our property is spread over 3 acres which is about 1,30,680 square feet. As per Government rules, we are not allowed to utilize above 20% of the total area in construction. This amounts to about 26,136 square feet of construction divided into two floors. This brings our total constructed area to about 10% of the size of the entire property. Our average room size is about 250 square feet which is one of the largest room sized in Panchgani/ Mahabeleshwar. We apologize however, that our property made you feel claustrophobic. We also have a very large jogging track which has been there since the property was developed; please visit our website www.bluecountryresort.com for pictures of our garden, pool and jogging track.

Club Mahendra room allotments were not in our control since we had a long term agreement with the company. Several guests like you were mislead by the company into thinking that they would be given a Studio room with a kitchenette however our agreement with Club Mahindra was for only deluxe rooms. We do not have any rooms with a kitchenette in our property for we wish to pamper our guests with quality food and not have them cook on a holiday. Our AP plan includes all meals along with bed tea and high tea with snacks for the very same purpose. We are no longer affiliated with Club Mahindra dude to this miss declaration of room allotments and other reasons and we are glad that no other guest has to go through such an ordeal any more.

We are in the process of setting up a garden restaurant, pictures of which will be displayed on our website very soon. Please visit our website to get a true idea of our current restaurant and other amenities.

Thank you.

This is a neat and clean resort in Panchgani. Very close to the tableland, it is also ideally located near the main market. The food is reasonable and the quality is very good. The staff is also very helpful and the room service is quick and efficient.
The rooms allotted to Club Mahindra have recently been renovated and are excellent.

Room Tip: Ground floor units are good. One gets a small garden at the back.

The hotel building was pretty old. There was a stinky sewer smell in the morning. Room was decent though. BUT INR 5000 FOR THIS PLACE !!!!!
The bedding was of very poor quality. In the evening, I wanted to go for a walk but all the lights were switched off and there was absolute darkness. The only good things were service and room size. But you can get the same in INR 2000 in any decent hotel. Since I have already paid the half of booking fee as advance, I had no choice but to stay there.

Room Tip: Dont stay at this place unless they offer you room for less than 2K.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review.

It would be wrong of us to comment on any sort of smell that develops overnight and one can sense early in the morning. As long as the room was clean when you checked in and the house keeping staff did a good job to clean it the next day, we cannot really penalize our staff.
In order to ensure we provide superior quality amenities to our guests we have an 8 inch bedding with a mattress protector in all our rooms which is comparable to any 3 star property. We also have a comfortable sofa come bed in every room. This is a humble attempt to ensure a comfortable and cozy night’s sleep for our guests.

We regret that you found the place to be expensive, there are several places at Panchgani where you can get rooms at Rs. 2000 a night however I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Thank you.
