“Lines move fast”

The lines look horribly long but move very fast. Don't let looks deceive you. Runs 2 and 7 are the best. The apples with caramel, hot chocolate and funnel cakes are great snacks to warm you up.

“Christmas Vacation”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

Unfortunately when we went they did not get snow as they do each year; however, the park makes their own snow. Location is good, parking is adequate, spacing is so-so, the chutes/slides are good and adequate (they have an area for the little ones and higher/bigger ones for the adults and bigger kids), and a very convenient conveyor belt/lifts that take you up. Lines were extremely long when we went (Dec. 26). We opted to spend our time giving my daughter a good time in the kiddie section and the carnival rides which can get expensive really quick at $2 a ride.I was disappointed that they had no area for the kids to just play. My daughter was extremely excited to play with snow, make snow angels, and throw snow balls- she wasn't able to do that anywhere. Pleasant surprises: outdoor heater that you can get close to and warm up, campfire for warming up & making smores, and a small shop to buy or rent appropriate clothing. In our case, the gloves and beanie we had bought our daughter in South Texas were not enough.

“Great fun!”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

My family and I went to Winter Park after Christmas while on our family vacation. We loved it! It was so much fun! The runs on #5 & 6 were the best! The owners beautiful Siberian Huskey hung out next to these runs by a fire. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lines were a little long, but longest line we waited in to go down was a little over 20 minutes. Much less time than waiting on a ride at Six Flags! We heard if we had gone at night the lines are shorter, but it also would have been a lot colder!

“Tons of fun, tons of folks”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

I can't believe there aren't more places out there like this. They have 2 nice lifts (more like all weather moving sidewalks) that take you and your tubes up the mountain. There are 8 or so chutes to go down total. 1 has a decent sized jump, and 2 others are faster, but with smaller jumps. All chutes are a blast. Here are a few tips:
Arrive early (they open at 10) and go on a weekday if possible. These can both help with crowd control.
Don't worry about the 3 hour lift ticket -- you'll be worn out by then.
Vinyl tubes can only be used on the lower lift runs, so there are a lot more of them available. Get the family tubes and double/triple tubes early in your visit (if interested and available) since there are fewer of them. Get the "cloth" covered tubes early and do the "B" lift runs (higher on the hill, faster runs) since these tend to run out earlier. There were plenty of single and double vinyl tubes available the whole time we were there, but people were waiting around for double cloth tubes and family tubes.
The vinyl tubes are limited to the lower runs since the vinyl apparently goes faster. I really couldn't tell the difference.
They have discounts available for night tubing, so it is probably less crowded (a big plus) and certainly colder (so bundle up.)

If you like tubing, this is the place to do it. (They make snow if there isn't enough naturally, so it stays nice.)

“Fun activity for Kids”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

This is our second time here and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. We have a hard time getting them to leave. The campfire and the smores are an added bonus.
Only thing is that it gets messy and sometimes takes a while to go up the ramp.
