“The best authentic place for pure vegetarians”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

Amazing experience! I love this place so much! First I've been there 3 years ago and now it became a favorite one. You could find at Suprabhatam a lot of South Indian specialities (dosa, vada, idly etc during morning time, soups, curry, fried rice etc for lunch...), milk chai is the best in Varkala and especially I love an ice cream Cassata King - it's highly recommended! The lunch for 2 person is around 200 Rs. To reach this place take a rickshaw.

“what a dosa!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2013

We were shown this place buy our lovely host Rose of the Gumnut Homestay Gyest House. Im so glad. We were like kids in a sweet shop. We (over) ordered and had marvellous dosas and uthappam amongst other dishes.

The other aspect of dining here was a chance to observe local people who all obviously appreciated the quality of the food and the cleanliness. In common with may local places there was a washing area for your hands.

“The Best Veg Restaurant in India”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

I have had the pleasure of eating at Suprabatham for more than ten years now and for sheer value for money it cannot be beaten. The restaurant has recently been entirely revamped from the kitchens through to the eating area to bring it up to Western standards there is even cctv cameras and a moniter on the main wall were you can watch your food being prepared in the kitchen. Amazingly enough this as not affected the prices at all which remain incredibly cheap. The food is utterly superb with plenty of choice for all palates set in a lively clean enviroment full of varous types of local people from casual labourers to bank and office workers. When you enter- if it is busy- which it always is you will be pointed to any table that as a space upon placing your order you will wait a maximum of three miniutes before your food arrives piping hot generally this will be their incredibly delicous Masala Dosa and it will accompanied by dal and cocunut chutney otherwise from 12 until 3 pm their famous all you can eat Thali is served at the unbelievable price of 35 rupees. This is without doubt an amazing place to eat and a genuine Indian experience all at the same time. Do not miss it !!.
