“Fantastic service, good hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2011

I highly recommend this place! It's a medium sized hotel but what really sets it apart is the service and attention from the staff. I only stayed 2 nights but I can't tell you the number of times a member of staff asked me if I was enjoying my stay. A further example of their attention is the 2nd time I walked into the hotel, one of the bellboys got into the elevator and took me to my room and turned all the lights on. You might expect this when you first check in but not thereafter.

Another nice touch was the newspaper service. Most hotels deliver the paper each morning and leave them on the floor outside your door. The staff at Residency Tower put the paper into a plastic bag and hung it on the door. It was a small gesture but very often it's the little things that make a big difference.

The service wasn't all immaculate though. Once I ordered room service and it appears somone forgot to bring my food up. I called after about 30 mins to enquire and then my dish promptly appeared but the food had already gotten cold. So I sent it back but they only warmed some of it so I had to send it back again. The food itself was good, though the portions were smallish.

The hotel provides free wifi access in all the rooms. It wasn't ultra quick but it did the job.

Breakfast in the hotel is a pretty decent affair. YOu've got the typical mix of Indian food and western stuff. Omelettes can be made to order and there is a selection of fresh fruit. There's also the standard tea and coffee, toast and cereals.

The hotel is pretty centrally located in Trivandrum. If you are visiting this city, I strongly recommend you stay there.

We were searched a hotel to conduct our high profile meeting. After made complete survey, we have chosen Residency Tower in a package mode. About 30 persons stayed for four days. Really a wonderful experience. The hospitality and personnel care taken by each employee was really appreciable. Their food court and meeting halls "Nova" were really worthy. Over all, a wonderful memorable, experience which we never forget. Any facility may be tasty food, neat hall, gym, internet neat and clean rooms, excellent room service etc...I really suggest, if you are about to stay in Trivandrum, then Residency Tower is the one which is un comparable.

Room Tip: All rooms are good.

We stayed at Residency Tower for a day this July - the room was comfortable. The hotel staff didn't go out of their way to be helpful or hospitable. It was more of a check in, you're on your own, check out sort of affair. Also, the rate was fairly high considering its star rating. However, the room was without fault -spacious and comfortable with necessary amenities provided. Bathroom was average - functional but paint was chipping off the bathtub. Make sure you check the sheets have been changed - we found hairs on our sheets and had to have them re-changed. We had dinner and breakfast from the restaurant buffet, both were fairly good. No complaints. Average stay at an average hotel.

The hotel is situated at a very calm place. Reception is prompt enough to check you in th ehotel within 10 minutes. Rooms are cozy and room service is is very prompt. Hotel has a restaurant where one can have good ethnic kerala variety for breakfast and meals. The only problem is vallet parking. Drivers seems not trained enough as our car got scratches while driver retrieved the car. Other wise as a whole good experience

We had lots of very delicious and affordable food at this hotel. We were getting hot stretch Naans delivered to our room nearly nightly. Plenty of stops to the coffee shop in the lobby for tea and coffee, yum! Breakfast buffet had a large and diverse collection of foods with a particularly nice selection of south indian items.

The room was clean, but getting a bit dated. Great TV with lots of channels. We had view of another building where men where doing construction, this was loud in the afternoon as they shouted to each other to carry items up the building. The bed was incredibly hard, but maybe it was good for my back. We were very happy with the speed of the internet (and the cost.. free!)

The staff and food are the highlights of this hotel. We were helped for getting cars, finding places to eat and even planning outings. Everyone at the hotel was so helpful. The food options in the hotel were great and plenty of Dhaba food was consumed! The Dhaba restaurant is on the top of the hotel and has a great view of the city. Just near the restaurant there is also a beautiful terrace next to the pool. We spent a number of mornings just enjoying the view/breeze.

Overall, a nice stay! They are obviously working on the upgrades and in the mean time you can rely on a comfortable stay with great people working all over the hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from construction.

The Executive suite is very good with cozy ambiance, privacy and comfort. The staff is always smiling and ready to extend their best service at all times. The Punjabi Dhaba on the roof top is very good. The restaurant in the ground floor provides very tasty breakfast with good variety.

The Hotel is located in the heart of the city and is in close proximity to all the major shopping centers. SMSM, just 3 minutes walk from the Hotel is a major attraction. This Hotel is about 10 km from Airport and 2 km from Trivandrum Central Railway Station.

The location of Hotel is near to the secretariat, Rooms are spacious, modern, trendy and clean. Room fittings are very high tech and good, Complimentary breakfast is included but there are less options available in that. Wifi is available included in tariff. Room service is reasonable and quick. In short a great stay.
