Many of the visitors miss this place eventhough it is near the Padbanabha swamy temple.
The wood work is main highlight and many of the thinngs used by King are displayed .
Yearly swathi sangeetholsavam is held in this palace . The place is lighted and hearing great musicians in this royal place is always a great experience. So Classical music lovers have a chance to enjoy the feel of the palace during these days

Its beautiful and very well maintained more than 200 years old palace. Entire palace is made of rose wood. Its better to go with a guide, they will be available inside the temple, with no cost. They described about kingdom and palace very well. You would get to know what is the real royal or king size life style.

Also known as Puthen Palace. The Kuthiramaliga is a palace of the erstwhile Travancore kings, adjacent to the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple. It faces the Padmatheertham, the Holy Tank of the temple. The building is a cool and shady retreat from the bustling heat of the city. You have to take off your footwear to enter the palace. The most interesting exhibits in the museum is the crystal throne and the ivory throne of the maharajas
