It is a famous temple in the heart of the city. It is a vinayaka temple. Presently renovation work is going in based on a devaprasnam conducted last year.

On the main roads of Trivandrum this temple is located with Lord Ganesha as diety. Very powerful and it’s believed that he likes the offer of coconuts which are broken outside the main garbhagriha in front of his idol while praying. One can witness people bringing tons of coconuts in multiple sacks and breaking the coconuts seamlessly. Some seek professional services of persons to break coconuts in speed while the main devotee prays. It’s a wonderful experience. Om Sri ganeshaya Namah...

Refurbishment is taking place in full swing. Because of this pooja times are crowded. Still the arthi performed are really delightful to attend.

It is a must to visit this holy temple if one plans to visit Sri Padmanabha temple or Sri Varaham temple. Reciting the Lambodhara Gayatri at this temple confers peace and happiness.

ancient temple now started renovation work. Now the idols are kept in Balalayam, a temporary arrangement to offer daily poojas. The main temple is now under construction.
