“Tasteful Decors and Decent Food”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

What hits you on entering Curry Chatti is the tasteful decor...Its a renovated place...

Location : Next to Thycaud police training college

The place has almost all types of cuisine

North Indian Pulao varieties are probably served only here

We(two ppl) had mutton rogan josh,Jeera rice and two Thalassery Biriyani
Rogan Josh was ok....Jeera rice too was ok....But i have had better biryanis in trivandrum

This is not to say that the food is bad but OK should cover it

For a relaxed dinner with the family this place should suffice

The prices are a tad bit high for the food vis a vis taste...

If Taste buds are the sole criteria this place will get at most a 6 out of 10

“A beautiful place with a lot to offer !!”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

Been hearing about this restaurant as it used to pop up in fb many a times. I went by myself to see this place. Ordered a paneer tikka masala and Jeera rice. I must say it was the softest paneer i ever tasted. Will be going this weekend with my family to curry chatty. And ambience is fantastic. Truly good work.

“Good Ambience and average food”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

Trivandrum does not have much options for fine dining and this is one of the few.Interiors are done well and you will really appreciate the way the whole place is set up.But for a restaurant what matter's most is the food they serve. As starters i ordered fish and chicken tandoor dishes as well as drums of heaven.Tandoor dishes were okay. What disappointed me the most is the drums of heaven.I wonder how chef can make chicken dipped in such a tasteless batter.Usually my daughter likes chicken dishes and she told me not to serve this dish after tasting this.As main dish we ordered Nan,lacha Paratha and Murgh makhani.Garlic Nan was very hard and Lacha paratha doesnt look or taste like made with wheat. It tasted like it is made from maida.Butter chicken was good.Service is good.It will cost you around 400/person.Overall the food was average from this place and i personally think you have better options in the city.Anyways it can be tried once for the ambience and interiors, but not a regular place for my taste buds.
