“Love this place”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

This is a unique Art Gallery a must visit for folks who love Art. The heavily detailed image of lakshmi Bhai which is kept under the stairs is so beautiful but the sad thing is it is kept under stairs. There is a portrait which is 7feet long standing in a park. It is so lively that it bring back the days of glory.

Try visiting the place in the morning. The sad part is we don't have bench or chair sit and enjoy the paintings and lot of folks visit on weekends as this is part of area which has zoo.

Kerala's pride Ravi varma's paintings are housed here.and many other artists of his period, his linage are also in display.but in the name of restoration, many oils have been retouched, which seems bizzare.

“Petite”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

The art gallery is located within the grounds of the museum and has some nice collections made by Raja Ravi Varma one of the most famous painters in the princely state of travancore (1848-1906). It is small but houses some good paintings and you can buy paper prints of selected paintings on site .
