Mundax homestay is clean, comfortable, and serene. We were surrounded by Matthew's garden of plants and vegetables.  We ate a variety of delicious south Indian food freshly prepared daily by his friendly cook.  He taught tailor made yoga lessons too suitable for our needs.  Matthew is a very welcoming and considerate host. We highly recommend his homestay.  It was a relaxing retreat for us after 2 weeks of visiting the bustling north India.

This had been my first trip to India. Mundax Homestay is the perfect place to relax and take a breath during a busy travel schedule. Welcoming host, best food, yoga, comfort and relaxation. Did 2 yoga sessions, another first - great calm teacher and listening to the sounds of nature coming in from the windows, quite an experience. Rooms are spacious, super clean. Cute little town and quiet surrounding, Ayurvedic healing center nearby. Lots to do or just enjoy the sounds of the day from the veranda overlooking the garden with local only plants, have a quiet read in the entrance lounge, chat up with everyone around the huge dinning table on theupper floor while enjoying the great food. Best experience you get.

If you're looking for peace and tranquility in a beautiful setting with clean rooms, delicious food and a very helpful and welcoming host - look no further. Matthew is the perfect host, making you feel welcome from day one and very happy to help with onward travel/advice, anything he can do he will gladly help. The yoga classes were enjoyable and not too daunting for a novice like me and the food was delicious. After a long flight it was a joy to arrive in Mundax and have a few days to relax and unwind before setting off on the road again.

Mundax is a retreat worthy of mentioning as you drive down to Mathew's home you immediately know you will have a delux stay the home is beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside. My trip to Mundax was my birthday treat Mathew had prepared gorgeous flowers in my room to greet me and even went above board to gift me with a present and cake and candles, I will never forget his kindness to me to make this day special. I also wanted to try Yoga and loved his patient and understanding instructions and had 2 great Yoga sessions in his huge studio . The food was the "best" we had in Kerala plentiful and delicate dishes served at his large table upstairs. The house is a castle . Please try Mundax for a unique stay you won't be disappointed , we decided just to relax and enjoy the local spa treatments down the road. The birthday will be a special memory and a high light of my Indian trip to Kerala. Thanks to you Mathew.

Enjoyed 3 days at Mundax. We felt so safe and quiet and after the tourist hustle at Kumily it was so good to return to Mundax. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the healthy food and the lively conversations. Matthew was a mine of information. I would unreservedly recommend this homestay to everyone.

I've been living on a ship for the past few years and needed some solo time for reflection. Mathew and his beautiful homestead provided the perfect foundation for a spiritual journey, of sorts. The food is freshly prepared and veggie friendly. The grounds are immaculate and the accommodation is very clean and spacious. I spent my two days there reading from Mathew's collection, pondering life throughout our deep conversations and seeking his wisdom on everything from conscious living to yoga. He was incredibly helpful when it came to logistics and even saw me off at the bus stop as I headed towards my homestay in Kottayam. A wonderful man and experience overall.
