“A Warm Welcome”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

This was my second stay at the Fort Inn, and I found it just as welcoming as the first time two years ago. Linda, the manager is quite a character, firm but fair and I really felt like she looked after me like my Indian Mother! The rooms are clean, showers are good, and the breakfast is great value at 75 rupees for toast, eggs and chai/coffee. Thank you Linda!

We had a good sojourn at Linda´s Fort Inn. Very helpful management, fine rooms and a very central location in Fort Cochi. The street outside is quite busy, so if you want to have your afternoon naps make sure to get the room that doesn´t face the street.

This cute little homestay is in an excellent location with a nice upstairs balcony to watch over the street below. The rooms are quite large and basic with A/C, TV and wi-fi. They are quite dark but that makes for a deep sleep! Overall, it's very good value ...however, the main reason to stay here is the wonderful Linda who will provide delicious authentic South Indian breakfasts and who will take excellent care of you. Her husband and sons are also extremely nice and willing to help out if needed. It's like staying with family or friends and a very friendly atmosphere has been created for guests to mingle or to have privacy if preferred.
This is a very well run homestay with a warm and friendly atmosphere where you'll feel welcome, safe and well cared for. Thanks so much, Linda, Thomas & boys.

You can stay here and feel safe.
Lindas service is very, very good and her husband is a gentle man.

You can ask them of anything and they will fix it.

They have a very big contactnet.

A nice blue-and-white homestay with one of the best caretakers I've ever met. Ms. Linda and her family were extremely helpful and were accessible 24x7. Would definitely love to come back here and stay the next time I visit Kochi. Very good locaiton, can walk to most attractions and also to the Kochi jetty. Safe locality as it is right opposite to the Coast Guard complex.

Pros:
*Location
***Walking distance to the Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, Dutch Cemetry, Fort Kochi jetty, Princess St. etc
*home-cooked breakfast from Linda
*Clean rooms, AC - paid 2,500 rs for a double bedroom

Room Tip: The double bedroom with AC doesn't have a king/queen bed. It's 2 beds joined together. . So...

We stayed at this lovely homestay during our recent trip. It is a lovely colonial house with 5 rooms, each with AC. It is in a great location to explore Fort Cochin, around 5 mins walk from the Chinese Fishing Nets. The best thing about this place though is Linda, the manager. She helped arrange all our trips out, arranged travel and any incidentals needed (electrical adapter plug for example), gave us cookery lessons and made the best food! She was always on hand when needed, early in the morning or late at night.
Would wholeheartedly recommend!

Even just walking through the door here I felt completely welcomed and embraced by Linda and her family. Nice size rooms, good location to the ferry and main tourist attractions. Linda was always there to give as much help as possible, with anything. Highly recommend her cooking lessons in particular. Thanks Linda :)
