Only stayed one night here which was about 4 nights too short. Clean comfortable relaxing place ideally located for exploring the local environs. Breakfast was good and didn't include anything currified - which was welcome. The management were very helpful with ongoing travel arrangements and nothing was too much trouble. The affiliated ayurvedic place was passable but offered a reasonable rub down. The homestay offered a civilised atmosphere with its own restaurant for those too timid or tired to venture out. We loved the place and recommended the establishment to various travelers down the road.

I stayed at Ann's last year with my wife, and last month by myself on a business trip. It is such a friendly environment - a vistor is made to feel like part of the family, especially when meeting the new twins Isobel and Sarah. It's clean and comfortable, with excellent breakfasts, and beautifully located for rambling around Fort Kochi. I went to business meetings in Ernakulam on the ferry, which was pleasant and not crowded. Mr. Leslie is a very attentive host and we will definitely be back!

A fantastic place to visit Kochin from. Great hospitality, wonderful rooms and superb location. Satisfaction guaranteed. We stayed one night, four adults and seven children, and would have loved to stay longer. No swimming pool, but everything else!

my wife and i came to cochin from london to visit this wonderful place. we choose anns as our place of stay after having a heard a lot about this place from friends and also on the basis of the reviews on trip advisor.
this clean, comfy place has a pleasant ambience, clean rooms, and even air conditioned rooms.
the breakfast is lovely bacon, eggs fruit slices and fruit juices are sumptious and fulfilling.
they also have a restaurant wherein u can get lunch and dinner and food is very tasty and mouth watering. grilled tiger prawns is absolutely delicious and magnificent....the best in India.
the host Leslie and his wife are there at all times to cater to your needs and Leslie see's to it that you are comfortable throughout.
we felt at home and did not want to leave this wonderful place. will definitely come back again....
recommend this place to all.
P.S. do not miss out the backwaters it is simply wonderful. houseboating with traditional lunch, a pleasure to seek in god's own country.....

Room Tip: the rooms with balcony are really wonderful. they overlook the garden in the back which is very soot...

Our room was compact (room 8) but this was reflected in price and totally ample for use. It also had mosquito nets - essential though we didn't have a problem in our room as air con also is a deterrent. Bathroom was large and very clean. Service by host was attentive and friendly.

Currently there are lots of electricity cuts in India and no less in Cochin. Ann's has its own reliable back up generator that kicks into action so everything gets back up very quickly - this is essential for hot water but also air conditioning as without rooms quickly become very hot. (It was 37 degrees during our stay). Once walking back at night - Anns was the only place lit up - so felt very fortunate to know we would be coming back to a cooled room. Our room (8) was on the side away from generator; it is possible that rooms closer to it would get more noise but still this is preferable to not having air con.

Location is five minutes walk from the centre streets - it is a pleasant walk and a very good thing to be set away from the crowded front.

Breakfast was pleasant and earnest service - omelettes were very well made. The outdoor seating areas are very nice; pleasant to be in a quiet garden.

We did also see Room 10 - which looked lovely. It had a giant bath and balcony.

Only disappointed was Fort Cochin itself - lots of cruise ship tourists as day trippers which changes the atmosphere and the willingness of local shops to bargain. (My review rating is not effected by this though!). There wasnt as much around as we thought. It is nice to see but we were very pleased to only have two nights here and spend rest of time elsewhere.

I would definitely recommend Ann's for a visit and also stay here again.

This was a nice spot to relax in after the day's activities and we were able to enjoy the air-conditioning in our room, free WiFi and choice of Tuborg beer or gin & tonic. The dinners and breakfasts were also quite good. No problem recommending this lodging, close to good restaurants and local attractions.

Room Tip: We had a comfortable but smallish room, some other "premium" rooms are much larger.
