“Pricey but good on quality”
Reviewed February 25, 2011

An excellent 4 star hotel located in the best possible locality. Room service and food menu were up to the mark. Housekeeping could be improved though. Quiet and homely if one chooses a room at the far end of the hotel overlooking the theatre. Plenty of facilities such as conference rooms, choice of up to 3 hotels. Rooms are pricey and come with complimentary breakfast. Overall, a good buy if budget is not too rigid.

I spent 4 weeks at Abad Plaza Hotel ( 28/11-26/12 /2010) I got Ayurovedic Treatment, and Reflexology.
When arrived I had Fibromyalgia for the last 20 years or so. severe neck, back and lower back pain beside siffness and hardness in my legs and arms.
All staff at the Revieve centre from the doctors to the therapists were so helpful and profitional. They were very much caring about my wellbeing. They did every thing possible to impove my general situation, and to break the circle of pain which I had.
I was satisfied by the result which i got by the end of the treatment which i can evaluate as 70% improvement from the condition I had.

As part of the treatment, a special vigitarian meals were provided. They were very healthy and tasty as all the indian food is. My sinceer thanks to the chief and to all the staff at the kitchen for the nice and special food giving during my staying.

House keeping service were excellent. The room was clean all the time.

My last word will go to the management and specail rate I was given to enable me finish my medical treatment.

I higly recomend Abad Plaza Hotel to others. You will enjoy your staying very much.

Note: If possible to include Arabic Chanels on TV. Like Aljazeera News in Arabic and English.

Note there are 2 parts to the hotel. We stayed near the main road about an hour or more from the Kochin airport. Not all rooms are renovated as ours was not. Breakfast buffet was average standard. If you need a place for a short over night stay with AC and toilets this would do.

I remember staying in this property 20 years ago and was surprised to see how they have kept up with time. Bathrooms are renovated with glass partition to ensure great showers, toilet area is redone and over all gives you a feeling of visiting a new property. Rooms are redone too - strangely they do not open the health club until 0630 which is normally inconvenient for most people used to hitting the road early for work- may be they will reconsider this. complimentary breakfast is very good and the staff are very friendly and ensure guests have a comfortable stay. This property is real value for money though may not have the trappings of a newer hotel such as a large lobby or how the over all structure is styled- this they compensate with a reasonable room tariff...

I was in the hotel for two nights for a business trip in October. I was happy with the standards of the hotel because compared to my previous trip to Cochin in 2009 when the hotels I stayed in were awful this one was a pleasant surprise. The buffet breakfast was good, the staff was helpful when we requested them for directions to various meeting venues. There were other facilities such as Kerala massage etc which we couldn’t try out due to a lack of time. Room service of prompt and the food was excellent esp the Kerala cuisine. The hotel is also centrally located with all markets etc being nearby. The only hitch was that late at night (9:30 PM) when I asked the staff for an asprin they couldn't provide me with one and when I asked them to purchase it from outside they asked for rickshaw money. That was quite a letdown. Other stuff was ok.

We stayed at this hotel for one night before our flight home. The room was basic and the bed was small and hard.We paid £50.50 .I would suggest you book another hotel if you want to stay for a few days. The hotels location was good in Ernakulam for shopping -very cheap (Do not shop in Cochin-expensive). They had a coffee shop next door which was good for cheap eats.

this is my 3rd stay at this hotel. It is placed on MG road cochin. I must admit over the years this hotel has been slowly falling in its standard of quality. It has been under renovation however basic defects still exist. Overall the hotel is excellent for a average business class traveller. Good breakfast spread and one must try the egg roast. The kadaloram resturant too has an excellent dinner buffet spread. Pricing is ok.
