Very nice bookstore with a nice section of books from Kerala and India. And the people working there are very well oriented and helpful; they even helped me order a couple of books I was looking for., even though they couldn't be sure I would stick around.

Local Indian bookshops can be disorienting with dusty books almost everywhere and in an order hard to understand. Idiom is a little bit like this (books all over the place), but much more interesting to spend time in it. Books are kind of classified (by style and somewhat by alphabetical order) and it's a pleasure to look at the books, wether you search something specific or not. You'll most probably end up finding something interesting. The choice is definitely the best in Fort Kochi.

This shop is an Aladdin cave full of amazing books most which you will have difficulty finding else where, shelves are packed so if you can’t find what your looking for the staff are very enthusiastic and helpful and they will remove the protective dust wrappers for you -you just have to ask and most importantly they don’t try to sell you anything you don’t want.

If you find more books than you carry the charming lady will have them shipped home for you !

A welcoming shop which has hidden corners and coves and is a bit higgldy, piggildy, but has it's own order and many cook and travel books and much about the Keralan culture and history. They are happy to parcel up and post books home for you saving the weight in your case--we've taken advantage of this when we discovered we couldn't leave the books here!!

So many beautiful books at amazingly cheap prices weird and wonderful collections only thing we had to watch was the weight of our luggage for our flight home!
But the charming lady helped us send book over seas as gifts so that gave me a little more room for books for me.
Super efficiant cheerful staff who couldn't be more helpful, we look forward to visiting again as we have a list started already.
