The best Hotel in our India trip. Beautiful Garden for the breakfast or Lunch. No WiFi connection. The Internet site is in the front desk in reception. The hotel is located In the center of Fort Kochi. Fan and A/C in the room in a perfect zone.
Clean Room but without bottle of water. Vey quite zone. Booked from Oriana Holiday tour agency

As another reviewer said: The building ozes of history! If the feeling of the great old times is more important than that everything is 100 % clean, modern, well functioning - this is the place for you.
Room and bathroom had good size, but show their age, and it is a little bit smelly.
Rooms hae fan, TV, Teee/coffee making facilities. Continental breakfast was okay - we did not try the restaurant for other meals. Garden in the courtyard.
Good location in a quiet street, and opposite the restaurant Oseanos which is popular and serves great meals. Short walk to points of interest

The rooms they first gave us was sOOOO damp and smelled dusty that I could barely breath! So, we asked them to transfer us to another room in the second floor with a view to the garden. Room was not that spacious but the bathroom was big enough. The hotel is 400 yrs old Dutch Mansion that was converted into a hotel. Average to good maintenance of the whole building. Breakfast was free and it was okay - Indian and Continental but we never tried their other menus. Overall cleanliness: could be better. Overall service: could be better. On the day we left, we suspected that we left our camera in the room but the staff never admitted they found it.

Room Tip: Ask them for a room on the second floor. Rm 6.

this was our first stop in India and was a lovely welcome. The room was large - albeit with single beds and not one double. The reception was very helpful and friendly.

The main garden area is lovely if a little bit scruffy, this could be made into a beautiful eating area with the trees all around but there were Crows on empty tables and the area needed a little work.

The food was good, breakfast was simple and eaten in the garden but we did not eat any other meals there.

Location is perfect. 5 minute walk from the Chinese nets and the centre of Fort Cochin but away from the bustle that some of the other hotels seemed to be surrounded by.

We would definitely recommend staying here but with a little work this hotel could push itself up to the next bracket.

The hotel just oozes history and is so well located in a quiet area, just a short walk from all the restaurants and the river front. This could be an excellent hotel if the staff were better trained in offering customer service.

The garden area could be an excellent place to relax if only they had a few comfortable chairs, rather than dining chairs left over from breakfast and gloomy waiters glaring at you if you dare sit and read without buying a drink!

A small investment in some laundry detergent so the towels could return to something other than chewing gum grey, would also be a nice touch.

Just small things that can be easily changed, if only someone cared, such a shame.
