We were a party of 8 and took four rooms for a couple of nights just before Christmas. The hotel could be lovely but also could do with some repairs and an update. The upstairs rooms had access to a large balcony area but it wasn't very clean and seemed to have unused things lying about. Some of the rooms had a/c that didn't work properly, although my room was fine. We were sad to hear the owner had caught some wild birds which were in cages in the garden. In the main building the owner, Leslie, had a large selection of books to borrow, including some on India which was useful. He also changed money at a fair rate. Breakfast was good with a plate of fruit, and eggs cooked to order, then toast and jam to follow. Outside the hotel was a stagnant ditch so mosquitoes were in abundance and I had quite a collection of bites by the time I left. It is very conveniently placed for walking around the town and to some good eating places. The owner offers a pick up service from the airport but a taxi would have been much cheaper.
