“Kochi's Pride ...”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

Kochi [also known as Cochin] is a jewel in the crown of Kerala with its European heritage and true cosmopolitan temperament. A leisurely walk through its streets is one of the best ways to discover all that the city has to offer - it's natural harbour and historical sites. A boat ride across the breathtaking blue lagoons and backwaters offers a glimpse of kochi's rural life and its true beauty.

“Old world charm”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

If you would like to go back to the old Portuguese times, visit fort Kochi...Chinese nets and live fish catching, Synagogue, Museum, Churches, Beach and so on....Dont miss the Kathakali and Marshal Art shows to get the traditional taste of Kerala.

For car hiring you may contact Mr. Kiran (9447692893) who is descent, co-opertaive and knows Hindi and English fluently. He made our trip more enjoyable but covering all points and even helping us with interaction with local people and language.

“Fort Kochi was okay but not that exciting except for the trash around the fisher nets”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

Fort Kochi was okay but not that exciting except for the trash around the fisher nets. There are some nice restaurants but the town itself was not as interesting as expected. If you stay on full day you have seen it all and don’t have the urge to stay.

“Nothing which is attractive”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

So, we went to Fort Kochi expecting a Fort or a historic site, but all we found was a dirty strip of pavement, which overlooked the relatively quiet Arabian sea. The only thing left from the "former" Fort was a cannon and that was just about it. The Beach itself was very dirty and one would find a lot of scavengers of various variety. The Chinese Fishing nets are supposedly very popular, but honestly, we did not find it too exciting. There is not much that you would miss if you were to skip this place from your itinerary.
