“Much hyped”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013

Nothing great about that. you can see them all over the coast line. Best place to see them is when you take a boat ride from Kochi to Fort Koch via boat. It is a new experience as the local boats take your full vehicle (Bus or car) on them to the fort kochi

“Only fish”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013

Great fishers. You can see a line of Chinese fishing nets. Usually done in the evening and in the morning. A simple way of catching fish. You can see the sea and the backwaters together, joining, ships passing bye

“Visually Appealing Age old Tool”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

The sight of a series of Chinese Fishing Nets along the coastline of Fort Kochi is very attractive. Each net has a large triangular skeleton with long black wooden logs, blue-nylon nets and bundles of stones used to facilitate the pulley system. A group of three to ten fishermen operate the nets generally in the morning and evening hours. The catches are sold on the spot. Fish vendors like any other place in the world are full of energy and talk lodly. Sea gulls and crows fly around the nets with some expectations. I could see limited catches of various types of sea fish including prawns and sword fish in the morning hours. The team performance of the fishermen in managing the nets is worth seeing.

“Low on Technology, high on fun quotient”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2013

You will enjoy this low tech, high fun fishing activity. Its a pity that with the increasing mechanization, the yields on the coasts have dropped and the catches are small.

“An interesting attraction, but can be skipped.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

It was interesting to see the row of large nets catching fish along the coast- you do not need to spend much time here at all. You can sip from a coconut ( many nearby coconut vendors around) while observing the fishing process for a few minutes but that's all. It is an ordinary and poorly-mantained, though ancient beach- filled with fishermen selling their fresh fish and other stalls you would see at any other fair.
