Tom's Old Mansion is a calm, neat and lovely place to stay at. The staff are very helpful and not pushy to sell all different types of services they can offer you. Jaison is the one who would welcome you with a big smile at day time and Rajeev who is in charge of the reception at night time does a great job. He is also an expert at IT and is ready to help you in case you cannot get connected to Internet or whatever IT-related problem you might have. Third man is no one less than a jolly good Lional who is ready to answer to your questions about tickets to different parts of India and does of course the bookings for you if you'd need it.
There are more at this cosy hotel I could mention and thank for making my stay so pleasant.
Oh, and even if you are not staying here, make sure that you come by for a drink or why not have your breakfast at their restaurant which is in the courtyard of the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff there too.
I have already recommended this hotel to a friend of mine who will be in Cochin with her family and I will of course recommend it to others. Tom's Old Mansion Hotel is simply one of the best choices you could have for your accommodation in Cochin.

Room Tip: They have up to 15 or 16 rooms if I remember well. Mine was a simple double room. They had some very...

I stayed at Tom's Old Mansion for 5 weeks so what does that say?... This 17th century mansion converted into a hotel feels like home in every way, but the greatest appeal is the staff who excel in making you feel welcome. Indeed, they pride theselves on the family atmosphere they create and where you are pampered as a guest.
If you want a choice of room sizes, cable TV, fresh tasty food from their famous Drop In Restaruant, free Wi-Fi, value for money, a garden area, and located in Fort Kochi's best address but yet tucked away and quiet, then don't miss out on finding this 'Hidden Treasure'.
I travel extensively and this property is one of the few that has some many advantages and it goes into my list of 'must visit again' properties.

Very nice hotel with many touring options at the reception, makes easier to plan a tour around kochi or kerala. The room was very nice an clean, with a very ample bathroom. The hotel has a very nice retaurant with good indian and continenetal food. The experience of visiting fort kochi was just great, very charmful colonial town (portuguese). Just to rent a bike and tour the little town is such a nice feeling, or walking also, its not so big and doing it by walk is also fine. Please dont miss the kathakali performance in fort kochi!

Room Tip: Every room i think its worthy!

I stayed two nights at Tom's Mansion and loved it. Lionel, Riju and the rest of the staff were very friendly, very helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, and I was delighted with the free wifi, although the signal was a little weak from my room. Worked perfectly down in the restaurant though. Tom's Mansion is also perfectly situated in the heart of Fort Kochi on Princess Street, close to everything good that's happening around there.

Heritage hotel (old Dutch house), nicely refurbished and enjoying a great location (on the main street of Fort Cochin ie, Princess Street) a stone throw from all major attractions. Huge, clean rooms, courteous staff, wi-fi and in house restaurant. Reasonable prices (negotiable off-season).
Would look no further if in Fort Kochi again

John, the manager, kept the reservations, the best as required... The priority is the satisfaction of the customers, not so easy when you are 16 French tourists for 4 nights in the XVIIth century Mansion.... Very helpful from the daily details as a birthday cake and a funny birthday knife... until the reservation for backwaters, Katakali, boats and buses. The whole team, at the reception, the restaurant, the tourism office, recommanded in the Lonely Planet, has to be congratulated and thanked a lot because they know how to mix work and pleasure. You really feel home and feel sad to leave this nice family... Many thanks to all the team, and especially John, for our e mail booking story.... Sylvie, Tour Leader...

Room Tip: Let them choose when they come...
