We were a bit late to get there as the traffic trouble us morethan an hour from Lulu Mall at Ernakulam. We had to wait 15 minutes to get a a table for 9 people.

We had our order for but the quntity as I thought was not correct. We had ordered many dishes in view of sharing them.. but did not practical as the portion size meant for individual. HOever, we had running orders to take care of the shortage.

We run f Biryani but the Ghee rice was so delicious - including the chicken fries. All have a natural flavour of Kerala Masala blends.

We enjoyed the Kerala delicacies!!

We went here after reading the raving reviews on trip advisor and elsewhere. It was crowded, you basically have to wait to find a table, lucky when we arrived some one was finishing up and we slipped in. The staff was quick to take orders, we ordered biriyani, fish fry, some prawns and rice. The food was average fare and nothing to tout about. Half way through, there were some employees of a firm waiting around for an empty table. Their chatter was endless and they were constantly looking at us to see when we would finish. That was enough for us to leave asap. It is the same story in most popular restaurants in India, they have more business than what they can handle and the result is poor ambience and dismal service quality.

I feel kayees biryani is over rated. However i can recomend a small place near padma jn which is by far the tastiest biryani in kochi and kerala as well.

Chicken briyani was buttery and awesome. The shop was ancient. If you are worried of diarrhea then maybe its not the place for you
