I was bought up in the UK and currently live in London, but am of Keralan origin, so know my south Indian food. Whenever we are visiting family in Kerala, my husband (who is Irish) and I try to get to the Grand for lunch as soon as possible. It's authentic, good value for money for a quality hotel (the prices per dish are approximately half those of hotels such as Le Meridien and The Taj in Cochin) and the portions are huge, so beware of over ordering! The restaurant is set in the art deco style hotel, which makes you feel as though you are eating in a restaurant from another era. Enjoy!
