Very eye-opening (and eye-swivelling) performance of traditional art forms. The presentation of the programme is very professional, and there is a good mixture of different forms, with very impressive costumes and make-up.

Well planned and gives a ringside view of the folk art, culture and dance. Great Concept. Was thrilled with the interaction of the artistes and loved every moment when they exhibit how the artistes make up for the Kathakali dance... Get opportunity to experience the way its done.

It's a first to watch performers get ready prior to the performance, and the main actor is made up on a dais outside, but you can also walk into the side room to see the other performer put on his makeup as well.

The richness of the experience is largely due to the initial commentary of the art form - where the actor demonstrates the actions that accompany certain words. It adds depth to the performance to realize that the actual dance is actually a whole story being told through certain actions - and the facial expressions of the performers are priceless!

You also get the option to take photos with the performers after the show.

Liked the Kathakhali mini-performance but the sound system was deafening; audience had hands over ears. Also, they should prohibit photos until the photo-op at the end. Impossible to appreciate anything with all the flashes going off. It's a pity because the performers are talented but we had to leave - worst theatre experience of my life.

We went to the Kathakali show here last night are were treated like honoured guests by the genuinely friendly staff.
Seeing the museum before hand gave us some background information and then seeing the make up being applied added to the experience .
Whilst this is not a full performance (thank heavens as it can last for 8 hours or days I believe ) it is an explanitory show much appreciated as one would be totally lost as to understanding this amazing art form.
A though good nights entertainment .
I would recommend and will return with friends on my next visit to Kochi.
