I had the pleasure of staying in a small hotel in Kochi for 3 nights. The room was spotless and also very quiet. Staff were excellent and bent over backwards to be helpful. There was a lovely pool on the roof with lounges which was a nice respite from the heat after being out.
I would definitely recommend this fine place to anyone wanting a small oasis in the heart of Kochi. It was also very nice decorated with various objetsd'arte around the place. Free wifi is also available as is a computer in the lobby for guests. A nice experience.

We stayed about a week at Tissa's inn during the Kochi-Muziris Biennale and really enjoyed our days there, feeling nearly at home with the highly apreciatable service attention given by the staff.
Tissa's inn is a really charming place decorated with lots of taste. One can admire the collection of antic furniture and objects there. Food is absolutely excellent, above all the kerala breakfast !
No doubt, we look forward to visit Tissa again !
Location is also very convenient.

It is a really gem in the centre of Fort Kochi. Situated a few steps from the historical centre of Kochi this family-run hotel is a real "must" for visitors of Kochi. I arrived at 5 a.m. in the morning after a long train ride from Madurai and the welcome was very warm and personal. The room was impeccable clean as was the bathroom. Although the hotel is situated on a main road there was no noise in the room to be heard. The house itself is tastefully decorated with antiques. The breakfast was delicious - one could choose between continental or Kerala bf. I always chose the traditional one. Very good, spicy and served by an super friendly waiter. The owner of the hotel Mr. Francis took the time to talk with every guest. One of the plus was the swimmingpool on the roof top - a nice relaxing spot after a day of sight-seeing and shopping. All in all really the best hotel on my trip trough Southern India and highly recommendable!

We had two days in Cochin at the end of our holiday in Kerala. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful - even to the extent of booking us in online for our flight back to the UK. It was situated in a good location but the bedrooms were quiet.

Had a great stay in this beautiful place at the end on November. The staff were so welcoming and helpful and the food was great in the restaurant. The roof top pool was a great place for a dip after a days sightseeing! Would thoroughly recommend Tissa Inn to anyone going to Fort Cocin.

We made this hotel the home base for our excursions in Kerala and it was the best of the many hotel experiences we had in in Kerala. The beauty of Tissa's is it's location, its small size and the dedication of its staff.
It is located just a short walk from the main tourist area of guest houses and restaurants, but has everything you need on the doorstep including convenience stores, chemists, banks and a tuk-tuk stand. The hotel has about 9 spacious guest rooms which are kept meticulously clean, and by Indian standards are well maintained. The beds are large and comfortable, the water pressure good and hot (most of the time). The included breakfasts are the usual fare - fruit, eggs, toast, jam, tea and coffee. The restaurant is adequate but not something to stay in for. Most guests eat out.
There is a large lounging area and small pool on the roof, the perfect place to practise yoga in the morning (the hotel can even bring in teacher) or cool off in the heat of the day. The pool area can also be used for late check out without the cost of holding a room. Our flight was at mid-night and we used this area to shower and change before we left.
A review of Tissa's would not be complete without mentioning all of the hard working and dedicated staff. Under the watchful and experienced eye of Mr Francis they do their utmost to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Mr Francis makes it his responsibility to meet every guest staying at the hotel. Finally a special mention should be made of Sanitha and Christina the two women who are on the front desk during the day. You feel the hotel would not be the same without their professionalism and smiling faces. Nothing was too much trouble for them. As soon as we mentioned our interest in going somewhere or doing something, they would be on the phone and it would be a arranged. Thoroughly recommended.

Room Tip: We stayed in 3 different rooms at Tissa's. All are excellent. But the deluxe room on the ground...
