Noah's Ark Homestay
Ranked #34 of 459 Kochi (Cochin) B&B and Inns

The best homestay in Fort Kochi, if not the whole of India, is Noah's Ark. Diana and Jerry are lovely and genuinely want you to have the best 'Kerala experience' possible. The rooms are very comfortable, spotless with plenty of space. Diana's cooking is sublime .... all authentic dishes done to perfection. A delicious breakfast is included, but make sure you treat yourself for dinner mmmmmm. Masala fish wrapped in banana leaf is a must! Jerry has great seafaring stories to share whilst chilling on the roof terrace and will ensure all your needs are catered for, no matter how big or small. You are 5min walk to everything that Fort Kochi has to offer. We loved it so much, we returned for our last night, feeling like we had our own Indian home away from home. Top rated and a highlight of our entire trip for sure. Thanks again Diana and Jerry ... it was our pleasure!

We had a lovely 3 night stay in Kochi with Diana and Jerry. Fantastic location, great food, lovely people in a bright and airy home. The rooms are simple but all you need. Diana helped us organize an action-packed few days, booking backwater tours, aryuvetic massages and music performances for us at our request. I couldn't ask for anything for--if only all the places I stayed in India were as nice! Highly recommended.

It was like walking into a homely Kerelan sitcom where the stars of the show Captain Jerry and Lady Diana welcome you to share a laugh or two. As the previous reviews say, the location is central, the food is GREAT, the accommodation is of a high standard (a/c, fan, spacious rooms, privacy, toiletries, internet etc) and reasonably priced. Jerry and Diana are on hand to help you plan your stay, provide advice on how to get around or book your onward travel and where to get the best bargains. They literally cater to your every need. If you are looking to stay somewhere where you can soak in the atmosphere, make friends and really get to know Fort Cochin then this is the place for you. We stayed at Noah’s Arc towards the end of our round the world travel and can’t say better than: this place positively stood out !

We stayed with Jerry and Diana twice during our trip to Kerala. The rooms are spacious, homely and kept immaculate at all times. The home stay is located central and within close walking distance to many of the main attractions. As an added bonus Diana cooks up the best masala omelets in Fort Kochi while Captain Jerry narrates his tales from his wild sea faring days. If you are luckily enough you may also get the chance to have dinner cooked by Diana for a true Indian home cooking experience. I would highly recommend Noah’s Ark home stay to anyone considering a visit to lovely Fort Kochi you won’t be disappointed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Noah Ark.. Diana and Gerry were the most wonderful hosts that one could ask for. They had these qualities which make the guests feel at home and relaxed. They were friendly, helpful and had good contacts with service providers. The location of the homestay is close to the main tourist attractions in Fort Cochin yet it is in a quiet area.We also enjoyed the delicious meals ,which were also wholesome and sufficient. Truly a pleasant and memorable stay for us

We stayed at Noah's Ark when first arriving in India, and it proved to be the most welcoming of all the places we stayed in, with the finest breakfasts! The room was spacious, clean, well protected from mosquitos and had a good AC system. Noah's Ark is handily placed on a quiet side street about five minutes walk from the sea front and the main tourist area.

Jerry and Diana were very welcoming and helpful. Jerry even drove us round to see some of the local sights when it didn't look like we'd have time to fit them in before we left.

The thing that really stood out from the other excellent homestays we found, was the food. Breakfast began with a juice, followed by eggs (I had mine scrambled with green chilli), toast, a local dish of bananas and coconut milk, and on one occasion some delicious idiyappams with curry. There was also fresh fruit and tea or coffee.

My only regret was not having an evening meal, to see how it compared with the breakfast. I'd definitely recommend staying there.

i had a great visit at noah's ark homestay. i originally booked a room in another hotel, but they were booked up and the owner referred me here. i wasn't disappointed in the least! from the moment i walked in, diana and jerry were very gracious hosts. my room (room 1) was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had a very strong AC, essential in south india! i told jerry i was interested in photographing fishermen and he arranged for me to do a home visit with one. diana took me to get my first sari! add delicious breakfasts, traditional keralan dinners and a location right in the center of town and you end up with a very rewarding visit. i recommend them to anybody traveling to fort cochin!
