During our stay in the area we visited Malabar House for lunch and, the next day, dinner. Both meals were excellent, the best we experienced in Fort Cochin. The atmosphere and service also really good. A must visit restaurant when in Cochin.

During my stay in Cochin myself and my mum ended up eating here twice. The first time we hadn't made a reservation and they were very busy but the reception staff managed to find us a table and were very welcoming. The atmosphere is lovely with live music on both times we visited! The food is gorgeous the tuna started is a must and the prawn biryani was simply delicious! The menu is great as it takes traditional indian food and gives it a modern twist which has a fresh outlook on Indian food! Definitely make a visit to this place if in Cochin!

Nicely situated, this hotel is pleasant and has helpful staff and an excellent restaurant. The room was fine but marred by two things. Firstly the air conditioning was not adequate enough to keep the room at a comfortable temperature, and secondly the bathroom was really poor, with no air conditioning at all and a tiny bath. I think there are better choices if you are looking for luxury in this charming city.

Quality and quantity of food very good; good garden location in evening was not well ventilated from outside or with fans, thus hot; wait staff spoke and comprehended English poorly, making for frustrating service, which was also slow--poor qualities for a 5-star hotel/restaurant they can do better.

Love the tropical colonial setting with a modern twist. The food is normally good.....but not always consistent. They are licensed to serve drinks. The staff are friendly. Overall a relaxing evening out.
