Fort Cochin is a fantastic place to stop and relax when going through Kerala and Beena Homestay was a fantastic place to unwind. We stayed in one of the new rooms upstairs and it was fantastic. Breakfast and dinner is included in the price here and the food was wonderful local food to try that accommodates all dietary requirements. The family was so accommodating and we would certainly return here.

We could not have had a more pleasant stay with Beena and her family. From the moment we arrived we were looked after. The food was amazing and the rooms clean. Mr Beena was extremely helpful in sorting out tours for us and let us use his phone etc... When ever we went on a trip he would ring to make sure we were safe and even demanded to speak to us to make sure everything was ok. When we went to Munnar he even rang to check on the weather as he was worried it would be raining. As two girls travelling alone we felt totally safe and we were put in a room inside the main house for extra safety. Beena and her husband are both wonderful and professional people and if a homestay is on your bucket list then this one is simply the best.

We stayed three nights at Beena's, total two families (4 adults, 4 kids). Beena has been welcoming and nice as last time :
- She had extra work as one bed has been dirtied by a child but changed it with a big smile.
- They even changed all our bedsheets and towels after the second night even if we would have used them one more night, actually
- We changed at the last minute the trip to the backwaters that we had booked through her and it was no problem.
- The food was excellent. She gave what the kids needed (earlier dinner, milk...).
A big thank you to Beena and her husband that we had such a nice and easy time in Kochi!

A group of 5 of us arriving very late on 2 Oct was no problem @ Beena’s. Beena and her family are wonderful people - nothing is too much trouble. Food was amazing and there was no limit to how much you could eat. Rooms very clean fresh linen everyday. Can’t wait to go back.

We weren't familiar with homestays but thought we'd try Beena's when in Kochi. Her home is in the ideal location and the family are amazing. They make you feel very welcome and Beena and her husband are fantastic cooks - we ate some brilliant south indian meals during our stay. Lots of fresh fish, fruit and dal. Plus it's the best Chai tea I had in India :)

The rooms are clean and simple with everything you need. Highly recommended.

Thanks Beena and family!

Lovely place to stay in Kochi! My sister stayed here a few years back and recommended it. Rooms are simple (no amenities) but very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast and dinner are included, the food is pretty good, and there is a gathering place to meet other travelers.
Note: there is no hot water in the showers (that we could figure out). However, they were SO helpful--gave us great directions and places to go in Kochi, and set us up with a reliable and safe driver to drive us to Munnar, Periyar, and Allepey. They even let us call them a couple of times after we checked out when we had questions about our driver.
So friendly and nice!

We stayed at Beena's on a family trip. Beena and her husband were most accommodating and made us feel right at home. They were so lovely to the whole family - my niece and nephew wanted to keep staying there. The home-cooked meals were out of this world. Loved all the fruit, and fish and curries and everything else. The place to stay if you're ever in Fort Kochi. Thanks, Skye and Liz + the rest of the family.
