I spent 3 nights at Saj Homestay. 3 nights in one of the A/C rooms and no complaints. The room was clean had private bathroom with a hot shower. The owner of Saj Homestay is very friendly and goes the distance to make his guest feel comfortable. He is happy to help arranging local tours, tickets for local cultural shows and tickets for onward travel. A short walk from the sea I would recommend this for anyone want simple pleasant accomodations.

My girlfriend and I were spending a month in India and happened upon Sajhome in the third week of our trip. Sufficed to say we couldn't have thought of a more comfortable and welcoming place to stay while we were in Fort Kochi!

We were greeted at the airport by a gentleman from Sajhome and made our way to the home stay where we were welcomed by the owner who helped us carry our bags in and get settled for the evening. We awoke the next morning to a lovely homemade breakfast out on their patio, and watched as the town of Fort Kochi slowly awoke to life in the early morning. It was a remarkably peaceful setting after traveling from Mumbai and northern Goa. We only had one full day in Fort Kochi, but our generous hosts helped us make the most of it by arranging an English speaking tour guide to take us by rickshaw around town. They also helped us schedule a traditional ayurvedic massage, secured us tickets to a Keralan dance performance that evening, and even booked our houseboat trip on the backwaters for the following day.

The room itself was more than we could have asked for after seeing some of the accommodations in India, especially considering how reasonable the price was. Everything was spotless, but on top of that we had satellite TV, air conditioning, a hot shower, and a comfortable bed to sleep on. The location is also good, with a number of restaurants, shops, and internet cafes within walking distance, although a rickshaw is never too hard to find.

There are more upscale and expensive places to stay in Fort Kochi, but if you're looking for a clean, safe place to stay with good food and attentive and welcoming hosts, look no further than Sajhome. It was a delightful discovery on our travels through India, and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Kerala.

I'd like to say that this place is really-really very good!! I stayed there with my dad and his wife. We took two rooms. Everything was absolutely comfortable. You can get tickets for all the tours and their description from the same Sajhome. You can take breakfast and lunch whatever you want at the very place. Rooms're big, beautiful, with hot water. But the main thing is that staying there you don't feel you're at the hotel, you can really feel that you're at home! There is even a small balcony, very causy! With full responsibility i can advice this place to everyone!

We found the details for Saj Home online just so we could get an address for passport control, but when we arrived late at night in Cochin due to a delayed flight, we were desparate for accommodation, so we gave him a call from the airport and he stayed open late just for us.

If you have ever been to India you will know that everyone knows everyone, but Saj knows the best and all his recommendations were spot on. He really went out of his way to ensure we were seeing the most this area has to offer. From restaurants to rickshaw drivers, we always knew who to ask. He also had great advice on other areas to visit in Kerala

The rooms were lovely and the times we had meals there, were extremely tasty. The Idiappam / Rice Noodles were spectacular and I never thought I would enjoy a curry at breakfast time, but well, now I'm a convert.

The homestay is only minutes walk from the majority of sights in Fort Cochi. You will enjoy your stay here.

This accommodation was chosen after seeing other reviews on Trip Advisor. The room was clean, comfortable bed, ensuite shower facilities. Breakfast/dining facilities were a little disappointing but as far as the good itself, no complaints at all. Saj looked after us very well indeed, ensuring all the trips we wanted were arranged as and when we requested; he made us feel very welcome and helped our trip run very smoothly.

We stayed at Saj in march and had a great room. Very clean, enough space, warm water, comfortable bed.

What we really did not like at all was the location. Far too noisy! Especially if you compare with other places in some quite side streets in the fort.

The indian breakfast is excellent (!), the breakfast place will probably not win any design award. There was no proper table and very limited place to sit.

Staff is very friendly and all advices had been extremely helpful.

The price was above average compared to other nice and quiet places in the fort.

Everything's great about this place..
Spotlessly clean rooms, friendly and attentive service and cheap travel arrangements for local tours.

The bed was very comfortable compared to other places we stayed in India and the air-conditioning was very effective.

All the main Fort Cochin tourist sights were within easy walking distance.

All in all a very enjoyable stay and we would'nt hesitate to stay here the next time we visti Kochi.

Thanks Saj!
