"Apasara hotel" is a restaurant in Cherthala (and not a hotel as the name suggests), right opposite to the "Indian Coffee House" on the highway from Cherthala to Alappey.
I would call "Apsara hotel" as a restaurant with a soul. Clean, well managed restaurant which serves very tasty typical kerala dishes like appam, puttu, fish curry with coconut milk, duck curry, beef masala etc. Food that leaves a lasting taste on your tounge and doesn't make you burp :-) What makes Apsara unique is the approach to cleanliness, being eco-friendly and the way it urges its visitors to 'not waste food'! Unlike other restaurants of its class, the restaurant is very hygenic and clean. Has a neat rest room where the owner has tried innovative ways to reduce wastage of water and electricity (see it and believe it ...). Quite interesting an over all experience in addition to the fanstatic food!
We, a group of 14 people, had our dinner at Apsara on our way from Ernakulam/Kochi to Trivandrum. And all of us now know where we will be having our food when we travel this route again :-)
