“Genuine and Friendly Homestay”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

I stayed for 2 nights at this genuine and relaxing homestay.
This is a great place for anyone who wants to escape the crowds and emerse yourself in nature and experience village life. The athmosphere is warm and welcoming with Solaman being the perfect great host; teaching yoga at the rooftop at dusk and dawn, and for the daytime arranging local trips to temples and waterfalls. I was well fed with homecooked indian food and hung out with the family, learning Malayalam from the two boys and playing board games together in the evenings.
This is a place that shouldn't be missed and a place that I will return to whenever I'll be back in Kerala again.

Recently I stayed with Solaman and his family in his Yoga Homestay. I was the only guest and felt extra special as I was lucky enough to have one on one time with the whole family.
I spent 4 nights and wish i could of stayed longer!!!
It was so nice to arrive in a foreign land and be greeted and looked after 110% by this beautiful family.

The accomodation is fantastic, the food is to die for (wish i could take the chef home), and every thing was above and beyond my expectations. Yoga classes were invigorating and it was lovely doing yoga on the roof top to the sounds of birds in nature.

I have no complaints what so ever for Solamans efforts and I loved every minute of this homestay, I cannot wait to return!

Thank you so much Solaman for making my journey extra special :)

This was a fantastic stay at youga life home stay. We spent 5 nights here. Joseph Solomon the host is very very accommodating. He prefers to book the home stay for each group so while you are here you have the yoga classes, food and family all to yourselves! Joseph takes great yoga classes twice a day which are adapted to your level. The food is AMAZING and if you dont do yoga you should just come and stay for the food, village and the serenity. The family are very welcoming and look after everything you need at all times. During sightseeing you have your own private tour guide in Joseph which is fantastic and really helpful. Thanks so much Solomon family we had such a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: If you are travelling here you will probably have the place to yourself so you can ask to see all th...

I have been a pupil of Solaman for may years, but his homestay was the best week of my 3 months in India. The vilage is a delight , probably the cleanest village I have seen in India.
The house is beautiful , the rooms are up to western standards with large beds, and immaculatly clean also the bathroom. His wife's cooking is delicious and the boys are a delight .
The yoga is adapted to your level , in the morning and afternoon , The surroundings are a pleasure to explore , ricefields, streams, pineapple fields etc.... I so enjoyed the little trips we made in the jungle and up the mountain . All in all the best if you want to study some yoga but at the same time relax in beautifull surroundings and being really spoilt with delicious food.
Thank you Solaman and Priya really hope to be able to do it again .

If you are serious about studying yoga in India and want to combine it with sightseeing and relaxation, Solaman and his family will welcome you and give you a truly authentic and delightful experience. Start and end the day with yoga on the roof accompanied by squawking birds; see the local area and feast on delicious Keralan food. You will be well looked after by this delightful family and taught by a superb yoga master.

We can taste all indian dishes thanks to Priya; en effectly, she entrust us her secrets recipes, we try to learn because it was so delicious. allmost of their products come from their own propertie. It was very quiet, clean, and you can consult the net.You can visit around go to the river see the elephants, You can trust in Solamane,he will take care of his guests.
