“a small peaceful metro city:)”
Reviewed January 25, 2011

I returned in september 2010 to delhi after my 5 years of stay in Mangalore. It is one city I would love to spend my rest of my life in. It is a small peaceful metro city with good connectivity to all modes of transport be it airways, roadways, railways or the Mangalore port being the entry point from the sea. The climate is almost the same the year long, tropical. Being a port city, mangalore has got lots of beautiful beaches to visit.
It is the education hub with eminent university campuses like Manipal University, Mangalore University, NITTE, YENEPOYA , AB SHETTY, SDM Law College and alumni worldwide.
It also boasts of some finest boutique hotels like The TAJ MANJARUN and The GOLDFINCH.
It lies a night away travel from all the breathtaking spots including Mysore, Ooty, Chikmanglur, Coorg.
In and around mangalore are various religious places too like Mookambika Temple, Milagres Church etc. etc.
One may find all the cuisines of the world cooked the best way and served even the best. The Chicken Ghee Roast is famous and so is the Some Like It Hot ice cream of the Cherry Square. And the list is unending.
In short Mangalore is a "MUST VISIT" CITY IN INDIA :)

“Place of Excitement”
Reviewed October 14, 2010

Mangalore which is located in South Canara District is a awesome place to visit.
It is a city with lot of energy and is a heart of nature loving people.
You can enjoy the sand bath in couple of beaches located in and around mangalore.
Panambur & Summer Sand is the famous beach where you can see the crowd enjoying their day by taking a dive in the beach.
Right time to visit Mangalore would be between November & May.
If you are the non vegetarian, then just jump in multiple varieties of fish dishes. it is just delicious

“Pathetic situation in Mangalore”
Reviewed August 8, 2009

I have been to mangalore in the month of July.

Last week of July, there was a continuous rainfall in mangalore, which did not allow me to step out of Hotel.. Most pathetic situation.... All four days, which i thought of visiting places spent in Hotel itself...was a pathethic situation....
