Stayed here 3 nights and arrived at 5am having been picked up at the airport by the pre-arranged taxi, probably cost more but no hassle so worth it. very quiet place to stay in the amazing busy, dusty city of Bangalaore; a little haven of peace. The staff are very helpful, breakfast can be a chaotic if everyone arrives at the same time, but there's lots of choice and lots of good coffee. Reasonable rates given you are in the centre of town and their auto rickshaw drivers are good and well worth using, though lots of places are within walking distance. We tried several of their restaurant suggestions and they were all good. The sit out rooms opening into the garden looked the most comfortable, though our studio room at the back was quiet.

Hi, Bonjour!
Thanks for your comments and review!, yes, we try to make it an easy landing for our guests : Our taxi will find you at the airport, wait 2 hours if your flight is late and will bring you "home" roaming around for an hour!..We have selected a few "tuks-tuks" who are happy to act as guide for you in Bangalore, mainly in the old city...they will respect you and see that you are happy.
Yes, we are blessed to be able to share our Cottage with all of you.
Regards,Amicalement

After a fairly gruelling few weeks in Karnataka we found Casa Cottage a great place to stay. It's amazingly quiet considering where it is. The staff and management are very helpful and friendly, and there is a wide variety of rooms. Though you would never believe there are as many as there are, as each somehow seems to have its own space and peace. We stayed in room 1 which is great in that it has a sitting room and is very spacious. However, the bathroom is a bit musty due to being inside with no ventilation, and personally I would have preferred to stay in one the upstairs rooms. I saw a few of these, they are newer and lighter. All in all, a great retreat in the centre of this crazy city. And please ask Benjamine, one of the owners, to tell you about the work she is doing with schools in rural areas in Tamil Nadu, rescue schemes for runaways at stations, and various other things. If you feel inclined to contribute to helping address India's continuing poverty and difficulties you could do worse that send her the price of a round of drinks from time to time....

Dear Sir,

Thanks you so much for your positive review. You prefered rooms upstairs, other prefer to be in the front...next to the "action", next to the garden..This is the beauty of the Cottage...no 2 rooms are similar.
Thanks for mentioning the Social Work I am doing in Bangalore and in tamil Nadu : you can read more on : ofi-asso.org (in french, sorry...but soon in english)).
Yes, if every one helps, we can achieve great projects to help!...I do not make too mucH "publicity"about my "other " work...but it is dear to my heart.

OK nothing more. Given price and other reviews I was expecting a higher level of comfort. This hotel is perfectly adequate but I would not say comfortable. Room and bathrooms quite basic. Breakfast outdoors is very pleasant.
Make sure you will not need to call the hotel late at night as they do not answer the phone. We tried calling from the airport as the hotel was supposed to arrange for pick up but nobody was there. Nobody answered the phone. We took a cab and the cabbie tried to call to get directions, hotel location is not obvious, but again nobody answered the calls. The bell was answered however and see got a room even though our reservation had been lost. A reasonable option given the cost of accommodations in Bangalore but not a hotel I would make any special effort to stay in.

Dear Sir,
I am extremely sorry about the "no show" at the airport pick up. Yes, it is our responsibility to come and get you....I do not know what happened but I can assure you that we are trying our best and it does not happen often at all. Again, please accept our apologies.
The telephone rings now in the night in the room of our night staff.
We hope you had a pleasant stay in India afterwards..
Thanks for your "true" comment that make us serve the next guests better.

We strongly recommend this type of accommodation for few weeks/months (we stayed 3 months) and especially for students/young graduates : numerous facilities, well located, a way to socialize with foreigners ... enjoy your trip in Bangalore ! The Casa cottage team helped us a lot when we needed, and enjoy life in Bangalore was thus made easier thanks their support. For those who never went to India and look forward a quick integration in this city, we think that it is a good solution.

I didn't know much about Casa when I went there, but it's a gem. The rooms were spacious, airy and clean. The courtyard is a peaceful haven from the hustle and bustle of India. And the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I can't say a word about the place that wasn't excellent. The taxi driver they got to take me sightseeing was excellent too- very pleasant and knowledgeable. Great place to stay! Mira

Room Tip: I had an upstairs room which I'm guessing got a bit more of a cool breeze

We have stayed at Casa Cottage for about a week when we landed in Bangalore. Without doubt this is the best place to stay in Bangalore. The place is very homely. You feel you are at home.

About the property: This is an villa converted in to a heritage hotel. Unlike other hotels, there is wifi every where, including the rooms, that too free of cost. There is private parking. Free breakfast is served at a pergola. They have a great choice of menu for the breakfast, both Indian & Continental. They have tied-up with few restaurants for the lunch or dinner. So no problem for the food.

The rooms are large and airy. We have stayed in their Deluxe Rooms that has got a sitout & open to the garden. The bathroom is clean. Also they have Studio Rooms with a kitchen.

Another good thing about this hotel is its location. It is located at the city center. MG Road, Brigade Road and other tourist places are just walkable distance. They have also tied up few with Tuk-Tuks (auto rickshaw) for the convenience of their guests. This will workout to be much cheaper than a taxi.

I can't complete this review without mentioning a word or two about their staff. The staff are well trained and extremely friendly. They are ready to attend to every needs of the guests, always with a smile. The owners, Mrs & Mr. Oberoi are also very helpful.

In a nutshell: we had a wonderful stay at Casa Piccola Cottage and I can recommend this place to other travelers without any hesitation.

Room Tip: Deluxe Rooms are good, airy. Studio Rooms have a kitchenette. For those who seek more privacy can as...

This cottage is a very friendly place to stay, a green and quiet pocket within Bangalore, two treats seldom found in India as a whole.

If you are looking for a 5 stars hotel, stay elsewhere! This is a cosy place to stay in an less formal fashion.

For Breakfast, the choice is yours as long as you order Indian the day before, otherwise, toasts with eggs-your-way, fruits, homemade jam, juices, teas and coffee, (...) will await you.

The rest of the day offers a broader choice of food by virtue of the fact that the Cottage has connections with nearby restaurants, delivering food faster than in the restaurant itself and dressed at your table by the staff.

The rooms are wonderfully decorated using a good mix of French and Indian style. The bathrooms offer hot water with a good pressure and are very stylish Everything is the cleanest possible compared to what I saw in India.

Furthermore, wifi of good quality, tv in the rooms (but I certainly did not have any use for it), tea and coffee tray in the rooms, packaged snacks available round the clock, laundry, and an incredible kindness from the staff helping you in every possible way.

All in all, a lovely and quiet place to stay, very comfortable and friendly that I would suggest to anyone staying in Bangalore.
