“My Worship Center”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

My worship place whenever I am present in Bangalore. More than 200 years old, the building is well maintained in its original form with hints of English architecture, stained glass, bell tower, etc. A new classic pipe organ is a treat to listen to!

“A GRAND OLD LADY”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

St. Mark's Cathedral is beautiful lovely church belonging ot the Church of South India. It is placed in beautiful grounds with large trees and though it is in the middle of the city with heavy traffic all around, once inside you hear nothing and can pray in peace. The altar is beautiful and the organ very old. Music concerts are held in the church quite regularly and the services are worth attending because the singing is rather nice. Well worth a visit if you are touring Bangalore.

“200 year old quietly residing in the middle of the city...”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

Had a rare few hours to myself and decided to walk into the cathedral one weekday. I had been there before on a couple of occasions but had never had the time to look around...
Described as 'one of the ugliest buildings ever constructed', this beauty was opened in 1812. Since then, a lot has happened [according to the 'Important Dates' typewritten sheet (see pic)]...

The plaques with dedications... the old fans... the mirror that i assumed shows the people in the choir the people coming down the aisle... i found them all fascinating...
