“The flower show!”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

The garden is very big and beautiful. The best time to visit would be in August when they hold the flower show. A must place to visit if you are in Bangalore!

“Beautiful”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

Lalbagh is a must visit during the annual Flower show that usually happens around the week of 15th August. However visit it in the early hours and that too prefer a weekday rather than weekend as otherwise it will be too crowded to enjoy . On regular days , you can park your vehicle inside , but during the flower show week , you might have to look outside for a parking place . The entrance fee is minimal of 10 on regular days and Rs 50 on days of flower show. Ancient trees more than 100 years old are treat to watch . If you want , you can sit in battery car and take a complete view of park . The guide will show you the specific trees of interest that are as old as 100 years .The price for the car is Rs 100 per person.
There is bonsai garden , chinese garden , rose garden with every imaginable colour of rose . If you want to buy any flowers, plants , seeds , they have a nursery too to take it from . In the evening , there are artists that play their band .All in all , if visited during the right time with less crowd to bother, you will end up loving it

“Morning Walks”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

This is place is great to spend a couple of hours on a weekday morning. Sunday mornings can get crowded. Its better to carry your own water bottles and then do breakfast at Vidyarthi Bhavan which isn't too far.

They have trees here which could be decades old while others are more than a hundred years old - overall its a nice quiet place for a walk.
