I needs new painting and new carpet, other than that is a solid 4 start hotel... from a price point , I had a good rate due my company... but anything above $200 I dont think is worth it....

also, location.... is ok, not great.. it will take you 5 to 10 minutes to get out of the road where the hotel is located at.

in short, do it for a good price.

Luxurious and well planned rooms. Great service, pre emptive yet non intrusive. Top notch food. Dal makhni at the Jamavar not to be missed. Unlike other properties where the experience starts after check-in, The leela service starts from the time you land in bangalore. Am absolutely delighted.

Room Tip: Call and check for best options for the date of travel. you might be lucky to get an upgrade at a sm...

I've been staying at the Leela for years. Though I've ALWAYS had issues with my stays there, I will say the first one was the best and the only one that I could regard as worthy of the Leela mythical reputation. From what I hear, during its heyday and before they moved the airport, the Leela was THE place to stay. it is NOT NOW THE PLACE TO STAY. They seem to mess up the basics with great ease. Their passive-aggressive style, poor communication, and self-heralded sense of arrogance are a rare combination of characteristics that I dare say make the Leela soon to be a dinosaur. Moreover, the building is tired, most halls need updating with carpet and paint badly, and the rooms will be due for some soft goods revival soon. The windows/doors opening out all need replacing since they are ill-fitted. Far too many of the sinks drain slower than molasses. And the smell of cigarette smoke, mold, and mildew are a less-than-great contribution to one's senses.

This hotel suffers from POOR LEADERSHIP that is so terribly unresponsive that they amaze even the most seasoned traveler. The GM is a myth of incompetence because his staff and middle-level managers are grossly disadvantaged in their failed attempts to provide service and solve problems.

The other thing that was horrid on this last visit is that the hotel is out of things. Wines on the wine list--it took 4 selections to find one that they had in stock. Items on the menu to eat are not available. Services are suddenly not available, such as the gym with a sign, "Temporarily Closed" with no indication of when it would be available or that it would be ever again.

Though it is not ready yet, the new JW Marriott in UB City will be a gigantic breath of fresh air that will impact the Leela greatly--and it should. Bengaluru needs a new, vibrant competitive hotel.

Sad to see this great mythical figure slowly sag into service doldrums.

Room Tip: New tower unless suite in old section but overlooking pool only.

You had an exhausting day in Bangalore discussing offshoring while rushing through the city from one location to the other. Okay, then The Leela Palace is the palce to relax and recharge your battery for the next challenge. Once you crossed the gate you enter a place which will immediately let you forget the sizzling city outside. The tropic garden with it covered terrace, the bar and the restaurant give you all the coziness you need to enjoy your stay. Have a dinner and take a drink at the bar with its huge armchairs and you are starting to plan your next trip to Bangalore. Needless to say that the food is excellent too.

One of the finest dining place in Bangalore . Highly sophisticated interior design and Hygienic. Very close to Old air port . Top class food and beverages. Hospitality is very good. Hangouts are near by to Leela. Try Copper chimmni for variety .

Room Tip: You can call the hotel staff and even try booking rooms online.

Look no further. This is your place or palace. I travel here about once a year and I always look forward to my stay. The grounds of the hotel are spectacular. The rooms a very large and have every modern amenity you can think of, including plenty of bottled water and daily snacks. Check out the spa. Great services and very good prices. Nice to treat yourself after a long flight. Finally there are many great restaurants. The breakfast buffet is awesome and has something for everyone no matter where you come from in the world.
