Description: As served in courts and on the battlefield of history, the fare at K & K is a coming together of ancient culinary secrets, long forgotten herbs and exotic flavors to pamper the palate. It presents a symphony of flavorful curries and delicious Kebabs. It is a melting pot of innumerable new dishes which originated throughout Central Asia and ultimately found a home in India. Melt-in-the-mouth Kebabs make their way forth from the restaurant's armoury of clay ovens, Iron Tandoors, Charcoal and 'Pathar' (stone) grills along with rustic 'Angethis' and 'Tawas'. Delicately flavoured Qormas, Qaliyans, Salans and Dopiazas simmered in Deghs, Copper Handis and Cauldrons enliven your meal. The sumptuous fare at K & K comprises a mouth-watering array of Kebabs and a wide range of dishes from all over India. These dishes can be categorised as either Qormas, Qaliyas or Salans. Show kitchens visible from all corners are the highlights of the restaurant where the sights and smells of cooking seduce your senses. Different kitchens work in tandem to prepare a delectable feast of Kebabs, Curries, Biryanis and Desserts. The interiors of K & K reflect the haunting beauty of North Indian forts. A brass motif engraved wooden entrance, Dholpur stone flooring and carved wooden pillars create a look of rugged earthiness.

What sets this place apart is the ambiance and location. The ITC Gardenia is in a class by itself. Coming down to the food and cuisine, just set the cutlery aside and enjoy the kebabs and the awesome Awadhi Dum Biryani with your fingers, because they are finger licking good! The lamb shanks are cooked to purrfection, simmered in a succulent gravy.
Top all this with the traditional kulfi or Firni and go home sated!

“Drinks,dinner and 'dosti'”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2013

Four of us ladies decided to celebrate a send off dinner at the ITC Gardenia - a decision we were delighted with.
The central location is definitely a major plus point - allowed us more time at the restaurant & much less on the infamous Bangalore roads. The beautiful lobby with the hanging vertical gardens is a refreshing place to wait for someone, in case your friends are delayed!
We began our evening with relaxed drinks and starters at the Lotus Pavilion; it has an awesome ambience and very attentive yet non intrusive staff. The starters were good, maybe a little on the pricier side.
Finally we moved for our dinner to the Indian speciality restaurant Kebabs & Kurries. We opted to have vegetarian fare- the choice was limited but adequate. The rotis & paranthas ( Indian breads) were very good, as was the Dal Bukhara; I personally didn't enjoy the mixed vegetable side dish that we ordered.
I would definitely recommend this place for those whom time, ambience and food are of equal importance.

“Try Cubbon Pavilion instead”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

A specialty restaurant serving kebabs and 'kurries'. I tried a sampler platter with two kebabs, two kurries and a dessert. It was hit or miss - both kebabs were just ok with the curries being pretty average as well (though one was adorned with gold leaf!).

“Amongst Chef Imtiaz Qureshi's finest”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

Dum Biriyani is outstanding. Go for the set meal. Kundan Kalia, Mahi mast bahar and would you believe a kheer made out of garlic and its yum. A bespoke experience for Awadhi cuisine. Well worth the money you pay as they pamper you endlessly. Great place for special occasions.

“Great ambience. Avg food.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2013

The ambience is great. Uniquely designed, very welcoming. But didn't find the food too great. Ordered dal, some special Roties, Mutton Biryani and Tandoori Chicken. Pretty avg. I'd prefer/recommend Punjab Grill any day- if one is looking to have north Indian food.
